Feelings that are not my own...

So general questions for you guys. Has anyone had a huge time jump in their memories suddenly? Most of my memories have been of a teenager between 12-17 years old. Now he's like... in his late 30's early 40's? Second question... has anyone had memories of a spouse and kids? Because the guy in my memories had a wife and a son... apparently. Third question: Did any of you start feeling your other self's feelings for their spouse for over two days straight? I mean, man did this guy love his wife. Which is nice I guess for him... but dang. Has anyone else had to experience this?

Yeah. Did you meet up with Hikari when she was here? Or that we believed she was here? She is the other Togusa's daughter, not mine. Or, at least, she looks just like his daughter.

So, yeah. I get it.

No, I didn't know she was around. I haven't even had memories of Draco's son. Or his wife. It's just the topic of what Draco is talking about, with a person I didn't expect him to be talking to about such personal matters.

How did you react when you learned your other self had a child?

It suddenly explained a lot of things. I understood what was driving the man, when I hadn't been able to put my finger on it before. It made a lot of sense that he was a dad.

[There is a lot more to his intial reaction and his ongoing issues with the other Togusa's fatherhood than that, but Togusa isn't going to make this about him.]

What about for you? Can you pretty easily see that guy as a father?

From before this memory? No. He actual father was a piece of work.

Didn't say very nice things to him, which did a number on his self confidence. And he was pretty much forced to follow in his father's footsteps of being a Death Eater (think wizard terrorist) because his dad failed on a mission. So no, he didn't have a great father figure to follow.

But he became a father anyway. Trying to prove his own father wrong?

[Meanwhile, Togusa is briefly panicking because somehow it took until just now for him to realize that the other Togusa's parents are not his own, and he never got to call his father for his 65th birthday, and he was supposed to go visit in Japan...]

Sometimes a bad upbringing can inspire a good one for the next generation down.

No not to prove his father wrong.

His wife was ill with a blood malediction (a curse of some sort). So she wasn't going to live long. Not wanting to risk her health, and didn't care if the family line died with him (against what his father wanted). However, his wife did't want a baby for the family line or to keep pure blood status. She wanted the child for them. She wanted him to have somebody for when she died.

Which did happen, which I'm guessing the son was a teenager.
