Don't blame you, can't really imagine wearing something like that on a daily basis.
You got yours through a fish that swam into you right? So, would she get hers through some animal too? Or is it only the fish that can do that?
[Although, a teleporting Rhino does sound freaking horrifying, minding your own buisness then BAM! Rhino chasing you all of a sudden.
Then Al cuses under his breath, he probably just jinxed himself and there might be some Rhino he would have to deal with and get trippy nightmares about THAT for a while.]
Pretty sure it's just the fish. I have a memory about a whole school of them flying through the skies over Tokyo. And this boy I remember mentioned a fish giving him his powers as well.
Oh, okay...for a second I started to think "What if there was a legit teleporting Rhino? Runs full speed, you dodge it, only for it to teleport and take another shot at you"
I'd like to keep the number of nightmares related to animals to a minimum...not that I am any GOOD at that, but still...
[Oh yeah, T-Rex, Elephants, half-formed Monkies, Jaguar warriors and even BUNNIES are on that list now. The one thing Al thought would be sacred, bouns points to the bunnies really messing him up for a bit.
You sure you trying Al? You just casually thought Rhino teleporting, dude needs therapy man.]
Apparently fighting a teleporter is hard though. Precisely because of what you described. Them using their power to get in your blind spot and catch you by surprise.
Good to know my "girlfriend" isn't lying about that sort of thing, would be horrible to try to take up creative writing and not have an active imagination :)
Oh gosh...is it possible for them to get multiple powers? Caust Teleport+ just about anything, would be a huge pain to fight against
Multiple powers? I have no idea. So
far I've only remembered people having a single power. Though, some powers
are more versatile than others. Like telepathy.
I'm not sure. The person I remember, he said he could place images in people's minds to make them see an illusion. They are VERY realistic. He can even make you feel and smell things.
Yeah, the way he phrased it, it
sounded like he caused the illusion from the inside of your mind, instead
of projecting something for you to see.
I'm not sure yet, but I think we
might be on opposite sides of whatever is going on. I remembered something
recently and I think it might be one of his illusions, and it was used it
to help someone get away.
Oh shit...the latter is hard enough, but INSIDE your mind?
That's...that's is freaking OP.
Oh, well...hopefully that just means both sides are shades of grey but both do some good...cause a super villain that can screw with your mind like that is HORRIFYING!
The memory I have where I met him, he
just seemed to want to talk to me. Which, is a relatively reasonable
approach, even if doing so in a mindscape instead of face-to-face is a bit
extra.
But yeah, until I remember what was
going on, I'm not going to speculate on who's right or who's wrong. I have
pretty much no idea at the moment.
True, but if you could just knock into someone's mind, would you bother using a phone?
Although, I would also find it creepy is someone could just pop inside my head whenever the hell they want. So both sides make sense to me.
Fair enough, of course it doesn't matter for the now, it's just facinating to think about who we were before and how similar or diffrent we are to our last lives.
I don't know if I think it's
fascinating, exactly. I'm curious, that's for certain. But a past life is a
past life. I don't think we should be comparing ourselves too closely, even
if we have the same soul still.
It's not like my current life is bad. Or that my past life was just so amazing. But even though we both only have one parent... she's actually close with her dad.
All we can be is just ourselves. The us that exists in this world, at this time. We just try to be the best version of us that we can manage.
And maybe it's idealistic, but everyone can be a hero. Maybe not the saving the world kind (though we kind of are with the whole Stop Vanderweele thing), but you don't have to do something big to be a hero.
Yeah...find our inner light, and try to get rid of the stuff blocking it...
It might be, but I want to belive it...and maybe we don't need to save the world(okay, vanderweele, yes, but OTHER then him), maybe it's just something in our hearts, the desire that we want things to be better, and honestly try our part to make it that way.
I think the people we call heros, are those that do more then they need to...and since we have power we could definatly do that if our heart was in it.
Doing more than necessary is certainly good. But I think it's possible to just be doing your everyday thing and still be a hero. It's all about how you perceive their actions. Someone grabbing a kid out of a road. They don't think about it, they just do it. Someone is struggling with something heavy, they just help. They don't see it as something extra. It's like you said, you try to make things better.
But yes, I agree about powers. People with powers need to use them responsibly.
I suppose so...I'm not so sure about small things, Rescuing a child, sure, helping someone who is struggling...
Couldn't it be argued that people do that just because they suspect it might indirectly help themselves? Or maybe that person might help them later? Does that still fit in the category?
Oh yeah, Cause power in the wrong hands just makes life worse...and gosh I've seen people be horrible with it.
Self-serving people will be their own undoing in the end.
What I mean is, we can't put narrow boundaries on what makes someone a hero, because it's often from the perspective of the person who has been helped. You can't dub yourself a hero. It has to be someone else.

[nor is she sure she wants to]
Human, actually. The teleporter was a woman.

Reading people's minds?
Like, they can travel in your mind and get info?
and thank goodness! Cause, if people could use multiple powers that could be a nightmare quick.

Makes for interesting conversation, if say, a villain in the last was a decent person here, or a hero in the last might not be so noble.
Not to mention what they have seen and the lessons they could apply to this life because of the last.

Learning from one's past life is definitely something to take advantage of, yes.
But then sometimes I start feeling jealous and that's just... not productive.

...Fair...I've been a bit guilty about that too...

Both of us were poor as dirt. When fate kicked him down, someone picked him up and he grew to be a hero...when fate kicked me down...I was alone...
and...I'm just me...
