At least now, no matter what kind of a shitstained day you've been having, you can say you saw newborn kittens.

Mmm. You mean domesticated cats, right? Ferals run in packs, I thought? Jade brought home a flyer for a trap, spay, and release program for colonies of ferals outside of Recollé. And big cats, of course.

Given, I'm not possibly considering adopting any of the above one but... you do seem to be right on that. Mannerisms and behavioral instincts. Bred to live a certain way.

I think the best metaphor I saw for it is uhhh
Imagine an apartment? With dogs, it'll be more like a family living the apartment.
But with cats it's more like roommates.
So they can live together and care about each other and function together as a cohesive unit, but they still have their own boundaries as an individual that wouldn't be there in an apartment where an actual family lives in.
If that makes sense???
And it's not like cats don't get super attached to their owners or anything like dogs do.
It's just that because of all of these different things, they express that attachment different.

I have potential homes for four of them, so there's still three I need to find one for.

We had some ferals that lived on the property I grew up on. Couldn't really catch them — they bothered the cows and ate from the feed. They liked their independence while reaping the benefits we allowed them to have.

But, that's just an old story. :)

They're cows... they're not the brightest in the bunch. Not like the kittens put an assault on them, just ate some feed from them.

Point is... okay. Yes, I am interested but I'm weighing my options on which pet would be best. Hypothetically, you know.

Hypothetically, someone's daughter or son would definitely benefit from secrecy.

In theory, someone would be okay with both so long as there isn't too much of a mess and their furniture isn't ruined.

But, in a situation where I WOULD adopt one, it would ultimately be for their daughter, not for the one adopting.

That would instill fear and worry, but there's worse things out there. Could end up with a farm animal in the backyard or something.

Where I used to live my neighbor had a ton of chickens in their backyard and they would get out from their yard and shit in mine.

Trust me, chickens are so far down the list of what someone could possibly want in a newly bought house.
