backdated to 4/12, welcome to ultimate nerd hell
James Barnes shared a photo.
April 12 near Recolle
There's got to be at least one comics nerd on here. Someone explain to me what all these old comics are supposed to be, and why they all have me in them.
And before you say "just google it," I did and I couldn't find anything. I have no idea where Retrospec dug these up from.
Also, I've got one free ticket to the shooting range I'm willing to share. The only catch is you have to be 18+ and willing to take me too. Let me know if you're interested.
((To view the comics in larger size/more detail, click here. There was no way i was gonna manage to embed that in a DW post. EDIT: also i added a bit to this post at 4/17 11:38 EST because I was a dumbass who forgot to include it originally, sorry for any possible confusion! ))

Didn't know you were into getting tied up and saved by patriotic stereotypes

I'm the one saving everyone else from being tied up in the Young Allies ones.

But what I can say is that they're obviously dated. Probably original copies. They'd probably be worth a lot by now.
[At least they would if they were authentic. But he can't even dig up any sign that they exist aside from the photo.]

Like who the writers and the colorists and the letterers are? What was the publishing company behind these issues? Those could be possible leads.

And I hope you don't mind me asking but could I ask who are the other characters in the comics? Maybe other people's likeness were also used. You could try and track them down, see if they have more pieces to this puzzle.

And I don't think I'll need much of a lesson. I already know how to hold and load a gun anyway.
[ Yeah, as if "take your kid to work" day at the army actually teaches you anything about proper gun operation. ]

Unless I was named after this dumb character. As if my parents would name me after something out of a crappy ancient comic book.

No one else is recognizing them either, and Google doesn't know about it. What's Retrospec playing at here?

Like those books parents can get for their kids where the author uses their name and appearance? Only less kid-friendly, I guess.
