did somebody say "tiny board games"?
((Edit: Oh look there's a log!))

5/6/2017 near Total Recall Games & Hobbies, Recolléhello retrospectres!
I just learned something fantastic:
Total Recall is still doing their monthly *Free Board Game Day!*
for those not in the know, this is an event where they set out a bunch of board games in the play area and you can try them out!
my friends and I go pretty much every month, it is a lot of fun.
to be honest I'm not sure how it's going to work this time, with us all being miniatures ourselves, but I figure at worst it will make certain things inconvenient
and at best it could add a whole new dimension to the gameplay!
so if that piques your fancy they are located at [insert address here] and it goes from 12-9 today. see you there maybe!
(ps. they have soda for 50 cents and there's a pizza place next door, so you don't have to worry about dinner)

it could be like battle chess, a little bit
and if someone doesn't want to play a full game, they can be a pawn

At the very least, it would be quite the advertisement. Those sorts of games are a big to do in Europe when they do them.

Goro Majima Even trying to move mahjong tiles would be a huge hassle
counting their tdm as canon ftr
but there are other games where you can just be the playing piece yourself, and then you don't have to worry about moving other pieces!
yes!!
[he remembered to not swear bc she's a kid incredible]

Ami Aihara are you thinking to go?

Goro Majima But you do make a good case for it.

Tuuri Hotakainen Also do you mean things like playing monopoly, but we're the pieces? I guess that would be interesting to try. Probably even longer than usual, though!
[but like, does she want to play monopoly for several hours? not really. what are other board games?]
no subject
and yes! although there will also be plenty of games there that are more fun than monopoly.

Tuuri Hotakainen Ooh, like what? Monopoly and Scrabble are pretty much the only board games I know. And Cluedo.

where do I even start haha
settlers of catan! munchkin! betrayal at house on the hill! pandemic!
the opportunities for complex gameplay and ruined friendships are endless :D

Pushing all those pieces around the board.

if the pieces are plastic for instance they wouldn't be very heavy at all
no subject
Three feet of solid plastic is still probably pretty heavy?
But I would never be caught dead using anything but classic ivory pieces, of course.
[She's probably joking.]
no subject
actually ivory is probably heavier :\
