Right, so. I've seen much and more about Retrospec sending out *weapons* through the post, but I think this might be a first. Whatever it is.

If anyone else out there has some idea of exactly what this is -- aside from the obvious "it's a helmet," thank you, already got that one figured out -- then I'd be glad to hear it, because I haven't got a clue.

It is not a helmet from the real world, no. That much is painfully obvious if you look at it. Either a movie prop, or perhaps something from a strange fantastical world.

I should warn you, if you haven't had the misfortune of seeing hallucinomemories yet, that some of them do not appear to happen on Earth. I've heard of some very strange ones where such a thing might be believable.

I have seen a few of these "hallucinomemories" already, but

but so far as I can tell, this thing hasn't figured into a single one of them. Or any other thing like it, for that matter.

I suppose it would be difficult to tell unless you encountered a mirror in them. It looks like it is designed to fit snuggly on the head but not restrict vision. This isn't like my cloak, where it was quite visible at various points.

It's a little hard to tell. Perhaps if you have one where you are "Suiting Up?"

I've yet to witness anything of the sort, but if it is something I wore, then I suppose it's only a matter of time until I do.

But there's no telling how long that might take. Retrospec certainly doesn't seem to enjoy making things convenient for us.

They don't like to make it easy to interpret anything that we see, no. And I don't suspect that's going to get easier anytime soon.
