Right, so. I've seen much and more about Retrospec sending out *weapons* through the post, but I think this might be a first. Whatever it is. If anyone else out there has some idea of exactly what this is -- aside from the obvious "it's a helmet," thank you, already got that one figured out -- then I'd be glad to hear it, because I haven't got a clue.

That's actually pretty neat. Better than drastically altered body parts, anyway.

Or even more unregistered weapons flooding the streets, I suppose. Don't know if this counts as more or less responsible on Retrospec's part.

Well, now I get to be worried that someone might be on Retrospec, have a dangerous weapon, and want to use it.

It's the helpful app that does everything.

I wish I knew what they could be getting out of this.

Given that they don't seem to have any sort of advertisements either on or for their service, it doesn't seem like money is the answer.

It makes me wonder where they're even getting the funding for all this, to be honest.

As an accountant I can pretty confidently say that they seem a little beyond money at this point.

I did a check of public records, just to see if there were any unusual taxes or noticeable expenditures?

Not one thing out of the ordinary.

Of course there wouldn't be, these people are impossibly skilled at covering their tracks. It's maddening.

[ just as maddening as the fact that he can't seem to convince anyone to care about it who's not already on the network. but, then again, that's a fight he's fairly well given up on at this point. ]

What sort of records were you able to turn up? If any at all, I assume.
