Right, so. I've seen much and more about Retrospec sending out *weapons* through the post, but I think this might be a first. Whatever it is.

If anyone else out there has some idea of exactly what this is -- aside from the obvious "it's a helmet," thank you, already got that one figured out -- then I'd be glad to hear it, because I haven't got a clue.

That looks like amazing craftsmanship.

That does seem to be the one unarguably true fact about this whole situation so far, yes.

[ really, the craftsmanship looks far too ornate for this to be the helm of any ordinary rank-and-file soldier... which brings back to mind what penelope just told him about the "judge" she saw. it still doesn't sit well with him. ]

Do you think it holds any particular meaning with it?

It surely does. [ again, he thinks back to those judges— ] But whatever that meaning could be is still beyond me.

Perhaps you will find it out at some point. The things we remember and learn does not exactly come when we want or need them.
