putting aside the fact that two colors have been removed from the spectrum for the sake of my own sanity: does anyone recognize this?



i found it near my work and got the sense that it was mine, even though i've never seen it. i know that whoever's behind all this has sent people strange items directly, but has anyone just found things seemingly at random?

i liked that other guy's helm better.

i'm thinking more like some sort of soldier with a hobby, with the vision I've gotten.

[a soldier who solders, you might say.]

but it is hard to tell. i've only had one vision, and this is the first thing i've gotten.

I've had a few of them, but I haven't gotten things back.

has anything stood out so far for you?

the most interesting [and least concerning] part of mine was that it was apparently in space.

I share a class with a guy who has a crow head. [Yeah, that has nothing to do with him. That's fine to reveal to a stranger on the app.]

an actual bird's head for a head?

did you hear him speak?

Like a crow but with human teeth in the beak.
He talked like a normal person would.

that sounds disturbing to see. can't crows already speak well enough without teeth?

[One can only be on the internet for so long without coming across an animal video or two...]

You can only see it when he's speaking.
It didn't feel weird when I saw it.

i suppose that's one aspect of these visions that's helpful, that the experiences in them feel normal for the most part.

it's already difficult enough getting them in the first place.

[glaciers]

I can recognize it as weird after seeing it. But it was all normal for alternate me.

I guess that's better than freaking out about it.

[lostapprentice]

i would say so.

i would be concerned for anyone whose first vision was about encountering something unbelievable to their "alternate" self.

[glaciers]

It'd be even rougher than this weirdness already is.

and all of us would need more counseling than we already do.

[He already needed that but shhh.]

Is there even a therapist on the app?

[lostapprentice]

not that i know of, but i know there are at least one or two physical doctors. i wouldn't be surprised if there was a therapist, as well.

even without that, just talking about it with a group is supposed to be helpful. it works for alcoholics and veterans, apparently.

They wouldn't still be around if they didn't work. Probably.

All of our experiences and alternate memories are different. Would it be the same?

[lostapprentice]

it's the same at a basic level. seeing things that make no sense, questioning reality. not being taken seriously by everyone who doesn't have this app.

[Feeling powerless. You know, standard stuff.]

the visions may be different, but we're all facing something similar.

[glaciers]

[Feeling powerless is something he's already used to, but not to this extent. There's a difference from an awful father to some corporation that can change the world at will.]

Which feels more real? The visions or reality?

[lostapprentice]

even with everything that's happened, all of this still feels more real than the one thing i've seen.

[But he has to admit to himself he's afraid of the possibility.]

there's a part of it that no one can deny is real, at least. the way we're all reacting can't be fake.

Shared experiences or something along those lines.

The visions don't feel fake even as impossible as they seem.

[lostapprentice]

they don't, no. but how they feel and what they are are not the same thing. i'm certain hallucinations feel real to the ones who experience them, as well.

that isn't to say i don't think it's possible they are real. it's just not clear at this point.

There are some people I know here that are also in my visions.

I guess we'll learn if they're shared or not.
