I didn't have time to take a picture of the real thing before I left this morning, but Retrospec sent me a golf club just like this one. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with it. I don't know how to golf. ┐(´ｰ｀)┌ Also, has anyone else ever had a feeling like something they see around the city is ... theirs? I can't explain it. Like it belongs to you, even if you've never seen it before that moment.

I see. I'm sorry. Do you have the ability now, or did you just recall it?

No, I just saw myself doing it.
People don't set themselves on fire in real life.
That's comic book stuff. [Alternate him is in a comic book world.]

As I said, I've got fire powers of my own. So does my brother. It seems we can't hurt ourselves with fire, either. Not while we were practicing. Comic book stuff or not, it seems to be happening for real.

It didn't seem to hurt when I was using it.
What was it like? Using it, I mean.

Exhausting. At first I could barely use the power at all without feeling extremely tired. It got better with practice, but I still have this feeling as if I haven't yet tapped my full potential. We also summon beings called Personas, to use the power for us. I can't use fire directly.

[glaciers]

You don't just set yourself on fire like it's a normal thing? [He might be joking. Maybe.]
I wonder if all powers feel like they haven't hit their full potential yet.

Only on Firedays. [ fridays. firedays. eh? eh????????? ]

That's possible. I guess we'd have to ask around if we really wanted to find out.

Probably. I don't know how willing people would be to share.

That's a good point. You could put up a survey of some kind, and whoever wanted to would volunteer their information. Anyone who didn't could just stay quiet.

I'm not sure I'd want to fill out a form like that to begin with.

It's just a thought. I can ask my friends that I know have powers, at least.

I don't think any of the people I know have powers.

Are any of the people you know also present in your visions?

[glaciers]

One person.
He doesn't have the same green highlights in his hair, but other than that.
I think he's the same.

He may have powers too. Most of the people I know that have some kind of special ability are from my group. A number of us who share memories and similar powers. It may be true of the person you know as well.

The alternate him did something to his hand and the pressure was enough that I guess I subconsciously lit myself on fire.
If that's a thing.

... I guess it must be a thing, considering. I can't say it's a thing I understand, though.

That makes both of us.
I always thought powers like that needed conscious control.

Is it possible to say things like "this is the way it should be" anymore?

Even just a few months ago, I thought the supernatural was still ridiculous. But now it seems like anything's possible, doesn't it?

Not really.
But I can still say "That's weird" about my alternate's memories, right?
With all of this weirdness, nothing seems as impossible as it did a month ago.

Yeah. It's definitely weird. Everything that's happening... weird doesn't even describe it.

My twin and I just moved here in December. It's crazy to think how much things have changed since then.

I've lived here my whole life, how did I miss all of this?

[covenantal]

Until we had Retrospec's app on our devices... none of us noticed a thing. Which just invites the question of whether we're really "realizing" things, or they're making us see what they want.

Being six inches tall felt real. Every mention of blue and green was erased.
