RIP Izunia-san's Loyal Scarf. Sacrificed itself in a blaze of glory to save its master. A hero's funeral will take place tonight at 7PM at Ardyn Izunia's house. Please RVSP if you would like to attend. Dress code requirements: one loyal scarf. Please always cherish your scarves. You never know when one day they will just catch on fire and exit your lives forever. Love them and treasure them forever.

It is, completely and utterly so. I must admit I wonder where your loyalties lie; you claim to wish to attend the funeral, and yet you turn around and plot to take another essential part of my wardrobe from me.

never in this scheming did i ever say i would let everything come to pass. such details are important, ardyn, as i wish not to see the tears you'd shed should everything actually lead to another demise at this funeral.

Oh, then you are quite unaware of the propensity for savagery that your new friend has. Rosalind will see it through to the end. You'll visit one day, only to see my closet set ablaze and my entire wardrobe turning into ashes. You'll understand your mistake then, I know it.

[No, Ardyn has already resigned himself to Grell wanting to get to know Rosalind at this rate. He's not so foolish to believe he has control over such a thing, and more importantly, he certainly doesn't actually mind it. Why would he?

Thus, he's already accepted the fact that there will prrrrrooobably be a lot of gossip about him inbound. Oh well.

Besides, he's being overly dramatic, as she knows. None of this is actually indicative of what he thinks about Rosalind at all.]

Maybe you overestimate your influence. Maybe, in fact, it'll be Rosalind who will influence /you/, and you'll be visiting my home with sincere notions of torching my clothes in a raging fire.

I don't know how cruel you'd be after falling to the dark side. Let's hope we don't have to find out, because going from zero cats to three? Would you be able to handle this sudden change? Do you like the idea of tripping over felines in the morning, or having your plants knocked over from high places? That will be your new reality.

Instead, consider this: I will carry the cats out, and in some glorious showing of mercy, you'll adopt both myself /and/ them.

occasionally being so brazen is good for the spirit. you'll never know if it's truly the wrong idea without being so - personally, i find that curiosity towards the true answer tends to win out in such cases. the risk ends up being worth the results.
