Tatsuo Kihara shared a photo.
06/05 near Tisse
I finally received an object from our evil overlords.
This is not the kind of phone I would buy for myself. I like either black or blue phones. Not white, not silver, not grey. And who uses a flip phone anymore? This looks like something sold ten years ago. Though the camera isn't terrible.
Even weirder, there's only one number in it. For a Tatsuchan? I think I'm reading the hiragana correctly.
[ooc: Actually, he's not reading it correctly. He's reading the little tsu as a full-sized tsu. So it's actually Tacchan. Joke's on him though. The phone is probably from 2015 when the drama was airing.]

I had one of those in college.

I remember that I found this out when I got my new smartphone. My plan needed updating, and I got it... and then the app.

for people who are young enough to know how to use cell phones, but too old to get used to smartphones, flip phones are the easiest for them to use
and cheaper on average, too!
maybe this phone belonged to someone like that who used to called you Tatsuchan
no subject
i have no idea who that'd be though. no one's ever called me that. and while my Japanese is pretty rudimentary, isn't -chan what they use for girls?
no subject
most of the time it's used with little boys but if using -chan with their name stuck while they were growing up then it wouldn't be so strange for close friends or relatives to use the honorific
otherwise I can see it being used by guy friends who want to tease each other
either way the phone probably belongs to someone close to you, assuming that you're Tatsuchan

Are there any numbers or texts or anything on it?

No text logs or photos. No notes. Just a single number.

...I might have been considering getting a second line on a less advanced phone.

[Pls pretend there is an attached pic of the phone in Tatsuo's hand showing the menu. Right next to the web browser icon is that damn blue Retrospec icon.]

did retrospec come installed on it?
no subject
And even though it shouldn't be there, the app is on the phone. You can't install the Facebook or Twitter apps, because the OS can't support them, but there's Retrospec. Or at least a stripped down version of it.
