He actually doesn't know what to say to this. Unlike Takumi, who's one of the closest people he can call his friend right now, Shin's story is pretty out there. Having a nice happy dude get memories like this is so cruel. ]

And I can't say I can relate either since most of my memories are pretty mundane

Yet many of us remain angry at or suspicious of Retrospec.
It's hard to see how they benefit from that.

My theory is that our realities-- our past lives--
are the things we're starting to remember.
Given that the items are simulations as everything else is, I don't know why they're returning them. Perhaps to toy with us?

that's why the kandam series were made, to show how terrible wars can get while still being an advertisement for plastic models.

there are! i've never gotten around to visiting them, with all that's happened...
and, well
even though i know they're looked after very well, that they're safe and happy, with plenty of food and shelter
i suppose i'd feel a bit sad about being kept in an enclosure to be stared at

but zoos are great places, and a friend and i are going on wednesday, so maybe i'll see them!
