Hello Users, For those of you who are new: Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options. For all, new and old: Please be advised that should you go above and beyond the call of duty for Mr. Halloway's little game in the coming days, there may be a reward granted or information given. 100% completion would be the goal for that, should you have an interest. If you have no interest in the matter, please feel free to carry on as usual. R&D will not be handling further communiques for this month, or possibly the next few months. This should not, of course, have any impact on your usage of Retrospec™. The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that. Finally, I would like to extend congratulations to those of you who have now reached your sixth month. We hope you will continue to accept our assistance in these trying times. Thank you for your patience, Janet Wiseman Human Resources Retr ![]() As of this post green fruits and flowers of this color regain their pigment. (Note: this is not all plants. This is just for flowers and fruits!)
Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Any new characters will find that the first photo they upload is locked as their profile picture for the rest of the month. Characters who have been in game since February will find their profiles now have a 6 months badge. It does absolutely nothing of note. |

ok but why do you think it was burned
also i think ru has been established since before the 50s dude

the building is in pretty bad shape and everything in there is dated from the 50s. if there was a fire it wasn't total, but it was also dark so I'm not sure I would've caught any details
someone who went to the school showed me and a bunch of other people what happened.
no subject
ok yeah but why the hell would that mean it was the only school back in the 50s bro
ru literally was founded before that its in the school history shit
no subject
that's not the issue.
the issue is why they abandoned it when they were obviously renovating it and putting money into it
and if it was because of a fire, why would they cover it up? there should be records. there's always records when an important building burns down.
no subject
not really

[Dave isn't an archaeologist but he's a clever kid.]
but I'm curious. why don't you think the city would have records of anything?
no subject
i dont find it odd
we literally didnt know we had four founders until fairly recently historically speaking
no subject
history is supposed to be a record to pass onto further generations
to learn from...
I know it's never impartial, but we should always aim to find the truth rather than just accepting things as they are.
you're right about the founders though.
maybe the record was lost, but if it was covered up deliberately I think the reason might be worth looking into.
there are other reasons as to why that era might be important.
also
and this isn't baseless conjecture but a little harder to prove
but I think someone died in that fire.

i just didnt see why this was like shocking news tbqh

but it's part of a bigger picture
I believe that looking into our past can help us with what's happening right now.

of like
i am pretty sure ur was before your school or w/e

my old professor had a big poster that said QUESTION EVERYTHING on it and I kind of agree
and maybe there's nothing to it but my gut says otherwise
after everything I've seen the past couple months I'm not inclined to look away
even the smallest detail might lead to an answer

you can tell Sir Doyle was a scientist on that alone.
it's just a lot of little things lining up, that's all.
