Hello Users,

For those of you who are new: Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options.

For all, new and old: Please be advised that should you go above and beyond the call of duty for Mr. Halloway's little game in the coming days, there may be a reward granted or information given. 100% completion would be the goal for that, should you have an interest. If you have no interest in the matter, please feel free to carry on as usual.

R&D will not be handling further communiques for this month, or possibly the next few months. This should not, of course, have any impact on your usage of Retrospec™.

The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that.

Finally, I would like to extend congratulations to those of you who have now reached your sixth month. We hope you will continue to accept our assistance in these trying times.

As of this post green fruits and flowers of this color regain their pigment. (Note: this is not all plants. This is just for flowers and fruits!)

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Any new characters will find that the first photo they upload is locked as their profile picture for the rest of the month. Characters who have been in game since February will find their profiles now have a 6 months badge. It does absolutely nothing of note.

Try looking out the window and realizing that the sky was not supposed to be grey. And you had apparently forgotten that fact. It truly is a surreal experience.

And that horses have all been replaced by giant birds.

Have you tried looking them up, by the way? If you do, the result is "did you mean chocobo?" and a bunch of pictures of frighteningly huge birds.

Yeah. And they aren't really threatening, unless...

Not really.

I just nearly got run over by one a few weeks back. Nothing like a several-hundred pound bird barreling into you to make your life flash before your eyes.

Oh. Well that is a far less useful answer. Though, that does raise the question of how you even got nearly run over by one. I don't think Chocobos are roaming the streets looking for innocent victims.

There was a festival. They got loose from their enclosure and I guess they must have panicked.

Nearly trampled a number of us.

Huh... now I totally want video of that. But yeah, I do hope Retrospec doesn't mess anything else up in the near future. Maybe in a couple months or something. It's not like they'll stop doing this, after all.

It was weird enough having them take away colors, or shrink us so we were three inches tall.

I'd like one month where nothing bizarre happens, but I think they've decided this is more exciting.

Well, to be fair, it is. The kind of exciting it is, however, is not the good kind. It's exciting in the way that getting thrown of a bridge is exciting!

I will give them this, though: we now know there's supposedly more than one person at this weird company only a few people seem to know about. This guy named Jim has been the one taunting us as long as I've been aware of the changes.

I heard, what, from everyone saying they were glad he wasn't here.

Honestly, I'm curious about why they've decided to switch things up.

I'm also not sure I like this idea of "a bigger loss", whatever the hell that means. Makes it sound a little like we're all in some creepy computer simulation.

Computer simulation, huh? Honestly, that isn't the most implausible theory I've heard out there. There's probably worse.

This is going to sound weird, but I've actually been discussing how it might be magic with a few people.

I don't know what kind of magic, really. The magic I've remembered doesn't cause colors to vanish, I don't think. So maybe Jim's a wizard, but he's probably a pretty boring wizard taking over the world with a phone app.
