The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that. I think that they are planning to just make it all seem like it was intentional, but in reality it wasn't. Like a giant social experiment.

I'm new! I just got the app recently, which is kind of nice, but also annoying.

the people are some of the nicer parts of the app, if you can focus on that instead

As social media, it is.
It is almost entirely for Retrospec's workers to mock us with the changes they make to the world.

Mocking us. I don't think it's right to have that kind of power and abuse it. They should be making this place better, the world better.

Instead, they use it to replace horses, make fruit dance, and take away colors.
It's obvious that they're abusing it.

I was thinking more along the lines of both... on the one hand, these cryptic messages, these mass user account registrations, and these mass installations — they're an awful lot of work for a meaningless scare, don't you think? Why, even I wouldn't consider a bit of fun worth that much effort... especially when there are far easier ways to have a cheap thrill. Surely they must have something to gain from it...

But on the other... I suppose all of this effort probably does mean that whatever it is they're hoping to achieve can't be good news for us, either... or at least, that's what Malik seemed to be implying to me before he decided to be an idiot.

But that's a different story...

You're right about that; it's obvious someone is putting a lot of effort into it, but why even have that effort if you're just going to do it anyway? Seems like a huge waste of resources....

Well, if we play this game of theres, maybe there's a way to get a handle on the situation. If they are going to be cryptic, there can be ways to circumvent that!

And beats me. I'm not employed by Retrospec... though, even if I were, then I'm sure that I would have my reasons for fearmongering even though I'm not exactly making them obvious right away.

In fact, my reasons might even be why I'm not making them obvious right away. Otherwise, why should anyone be afraid...?

People naturally fear what they don't understand. I guess the best way to circumvent this is to play the game and find a way to go around their thinking. Change the direction, I guess?

I see. In other words, if our goal is to cripple its effectiveness, then we should actually be taking our fears of what Retrospec might have in store for us head on instead of giving into them like they so obviously want... right, Yugi?

Because if that's the case... then I guess even I can get behind that. It might even be my one chance to give a social media network that's shown itself to have no interest in catering to my needs thus far a taste of its own medicine.
