Hello Users, For those of you who are new: Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options. For all, new and old: Please be advised that should you go above and beyond the call of duty for Mr. Halloway's little game in the coming days, there may be a reward granted or information given. 100% completion would be the goal for that, should you have an interest. If you have no interest in the matter, please feel free to carry on as usual. R&D will not be handling further communiques for this month, or possibly the next few months. This should not, of course, have any impact on your usage of Retrospec™. The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that. Finally, I would like to extend congratulations to those of you who have now reached your sixth month. We hope you will continue to accept our assistance in these trying times. Thank you for your patience, Janet Wiseman Human Resources Retr spec IncorporatedAs of this post green fruits and flowers of this color regain their pigment. (Note: this is not all plants. This is just for flowers and fruits!)
Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Any new characters will find that the first photo they upload is locked as their profile picture for the rest of the month. Characters who have been in game since February will find their profiles now have a 6 months badge. It does absolutely nothing of note. This post is an overflow from the original post here. Feel free to either carry over threads from there or create entirely new ones. |

i'll have to stake out somewhere nearby to see if it works
but what will i do if it starts chasing me? i'm too young to die
[ i'm cracking up, recolle science majors were the enemy all along ]
no subject
it works in survival horror games, after all.
make sure you close doors behind you as well to buy yourself some time.
[ we did it, we solved the mystery of recolle, game over time to go home ]
no subject
it might sniff me out, or it might be strong enough to knock down all the doors i close
there's no way i'm doing this alone! you should come with me
[ can't believe we solved it just like that... what a pair of geniuses ]
no subject
alright. i'd be more than happy to, especially if we turn out to be right.
i'm sure everyone else would be interested in our findings as well.
[ given the room in retrospec belongs to a biology student makes this ten times funnier, you know that?? ]
no subject
really? thanks a lot! i hope we'll have time to snap good pictures before they notice us.
actually, i wonder if they show up in pictures in the first place... like you know, how vampires don't show up in pictures?
[ local terror-hunting duo snaps pictures of peaceful biology students being peaceful in their retrospec room ]

according to various sources, vampires were only invisible in mirrors and the like due to the type of backing/chemicals they used on such things.
digital doesn't suffer from that, so i'm certain we'll be fine.
but then...
how are we going to tell if they are horrorterrors or if they are vampires?
[ this gets worse and worse ]
no subject
i think our main concern is whether they're human or not
but if we learn what they are, we can figure out their weaknesses based on that.
i'd say we can try getting them to look into a mirror, though that's easier said than done....
[ if they're vampires, he's absolutely suggesting something as cliche as garlic ]

that's certain to work on a myriad of monsters, isn't it?
witches will melt, unholy beasts will shriek, werewolves will smell like wet dogs...

everything online that claims to be "holy water" is probably bogus
do you think we can go to a church and ask politely?
no subject
and once they hear our plight, they'll give us a gallon,
nay,
ten gallons of it! a small aquarium of holy water!
and then we'll simply take water guns, fill them from the tank, and spray those we suspect of being monsters.
it's very simple.
no subject
we'll also have to find a secret place where we can load up
it'd be a shame if they discovered our holy water stash
no subject
perhaps we could find a secret compartment somewhere in the school? certainly there must be something like that.
perhaps. at least, it would be very interesting if there were.
no subject
still, it'd be convenient if we found one in a place we're familiar with, or in a non-science building, since we're guaranteed to know our way around it.
if they follow us in, there's a good chance they'll get lost
