The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that. Finally, I would like to extend congratulations to those of you who have now reached your sixth month. We hope you will continue to accept our assistance in these trying times. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Any new characters will find that the first photo they upload is locked as their profile picture for the rest of the month. If you think about it, it's always been normal to us. It only became abnormal after we got this stupid app.

Good point. The laughing fruit, even when we all shrunk... to everyone else, this is all normal. Even now, I'm starting to get used to the sky being gray. It's kind of scary, somehow.

Yeah, I guess you're right. The fact that we're the only ones off the grid or whatever is what gets me. If Retrospec can control things like this, why give us an app that makes us notice everything they're breaking?

One of the cops seems to think they want us to notice this stuff. It's their way of warning us or trying to get help to fix it or something.

So we're having to fix it when they're the ones breaking it? Great.

I don't know that they broke it. They just might want us to see that it's broken.

But maybe they broke it.

Yeah, Jim made it sound like the colors happened on purpose. But then Jim is an asshole, so who knows.

If they're trying to get us to notice, at least they're doing that much right.

Janet's style is so different from Jim's, it's hard to decide which one to believe.

Well, what we're seeing is just words. Not people. Not voices.

Could be a hell of an intelligence algorithm. Like those ones that can generate fiction or full conversations or art. Just a lot more complex.

That's always possible... It could even be an AI or something. It finally figured out the Jim approach wasn't working, so it's trying this now.

Which isn't a bad thing. I'm completely okay with there being no Jim.

Yeah, it would be one less thing to worry about. Though I don't know if a computer being behind all this makes me feel any better.
