Hello Users,

For those of you who are new: Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options.

For all, new and old: Please be advised that should you go above and beyond the call of duty for Mr. Halloway's little game in the coming days, there may be a reward granted or information given. 100% completion would be the goal for that, should you have an interest. If you have no interest in the matter, please feel free to carry on as usual.

R&D will not be handling further communiques for this month, or possibly the next few months. This should not, of course, have any impact on your usage of Retrospec™.

The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that.

Finally, I would like to extend congratulations to those of you who have now reached your sixth month. We hope you will continue to accept our assistance in these trying times.

As of this post green fruits and flowers of this color regain their pigment. (Note: this is not all plants. This is just for flowers and fruits!)

This gets more messed up the more goes on around here. There’s got to be more we can do than just… sit around and wait for whatever they’ve got planned for us next.

wishful thinking isn't going to get you anywhere

they didn't notice the chocobos when they replaced horses, they didn't notice the fruit developing faces overnight, and they didn't notice when blue and green disappeared. the people off the network almost live in an entirely different world from us, with how little they notice

believe me, if there WAS anything we could do, we'd be doing it already. there are a bunch of us that are always following whatever leads we've got, or checking back in on stuff to see if anything's changed

the problem is that they control the narrative, and it's pretty hard to get ahead of them

You know, the more goes on without them noticing anything, the more this feels like one big old conspiracy to make us all crazy. I’d even say it’s working to a point, because how can one company, developers of some useless smartphone app, have so much control over everything? We know they’re keeping track of us somehow, through this app or some other way, but how, and why? And why us?

Maybe if they’d give us answers to something, even the small stuff, it wouldn’t be so damn frustrating.

it'd be nice, sure, but it would also make us feel less lost at sea. and i'm pretty sure the confusion and uncertainty is part of what they WANT us to feel, after all, half their posts seem like they're just trying to make sure we know how helpless we are against them

Tell me about it. Some of us have stuff to do, and now we have to find more time to dedicate to figuring this mess out when no one outside of the app even knows what’s going on?

Sounds to me like the best thing we could do is try not to be so bothered by the things they keep throwing at us, shrinking us or giving us those… what’d they call ‘em? Hallucinomemories? Easier said than done, I know, but if we can take back that much control over what’s going on, we might be better off.

[This is probably where Dante lucks out. He's got so little on his plate right now that he can spend time nosing around and getting into trouble...

flashes. covers all the possibilities and is a hell of a lot easier to say than that mouthful

i can roll with the punches when it comes to waking up tiny or dealing with those stalker photos, but the flashes are a little bit tougher to take in stride

still, you're probably right. if it's a show they want, the best thing we can do is to bore them

I’m still not convinced they’re real. They might feel like it in some ways, but so do dreams, right? As far as I’m concerned, it’s just another layer of those Retrospec folks messing with us.

There’s too many people giving them the reactions they want, though. If we were going to make that work, we’d have to get everyone involved to stop reacting so badly to everything they do or say. Or maybe just stop using the app. It might show up everywhere, but they can’t force us to use it if we don’t want to.

i've been getting them since february and they've got this sort of logic to them, something you can't refute no matter how much you want to

they can't force us to use the app, but there's no real pro to not using it outside of annoying jim. you can't keep these flashes from happening, even if you try to avoid them. i went into the woods for four days straight and still got hit with one while i was there

Yeah? If you’ve got some kind of proof of that, I’d love to see it. A strong feeling and questionable logic don’t mean much when they can suck colors right out of the world.

You got any other suggestions? I may not have been dealing with this as long as you have, but I’m willing to try just about anything at this point. You’d think with how they keep messing with us, it’d be easier to get some dirt on these guys, or at least find a better way to deal with all the crazy stuff they’ve been doing, but there’s nothing.

what sort or proof do you want? i'm not dragging out what other people have shown me, but i can summon a sword out of thin air, fight with it, and dive off a skyscraper without killing myself now

i remembered it and now i can do it too. pick a time and a place and i'll show you

i wish i had more to suggest honestly but by this point i'm running out of options. the only thing i can think of that MIGHT stop it is to become a hermit and never interact with anyone or anything ever again and that's not exactly doable

right now i'm just trying to get as much info as i can to see if maybe i can get ahead of their game somehow
