For those of you who are new: Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options.

For all, new and old: Please be advised that should you go above and beyond the call of duty for Mr. Halloway's little game in the coming days, there may be a reward granted or information given. 100% completion would be the goal for that, should you have an interest. If you have no interest in the matter, please feel free to carry on as usual.

R&D will not be handling further communiques for this month, or possibly the next few months. This should not, of course, have any impact on your usage of Retrospec™.

The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that.

Finally, I would like to extend congratulations to those of you who have now reached your sixth month. We hope you will continue to accept our assistance in these trying times.

As of this post green fruits and flowers of this color regain their pigment. (Note: this is not all plants. This is just for flowers and fruits!)

While i still wouldnt be fond of jims attitude i could at least understand it then.
Im still worried what happens to the released employees and former members of retrospec too.
It seems like their memories are wiped but... is that all? And why former users?
I guess in that regard i cant help fretting over everyone involved.

Yeah, exactly. They could get fired and not even remember working for Retrospec in the first place.
It's weird to think about... if I forgot everything and lost the app, I'd look pretty different, too.
It's pretty concerning how little we know about Retrospec's practices.

That bothers me too.
Its altered my life. That sounds dramatic but... it has.
Even if im still on the fence about remembering all this shit i definitely dont want it taken away from my without my permission either.
I wish at the very least they would tell us why this is happening.
There must be a reason to give us these memories right?
But so far i havent seen a common thread in them.

No, I understand. It's the same for me.
Retrospec doesn't seem to have a reason for doing any of this.
The memories and the fact that we're the only people who notice things changing... I wish we knew how they were connected.
Like what does the sky being gray have to do with past lives or whatever our memories mean?

Or the time we shrunk... that was queer as fuck. I cant imagine how its connected.
Some of the things might be from memories... like the fruit um. I remember that?
Which is weird.
But at least that makes sense. But no ones come forward and claimed the colours disappearing or the shrinking...
Or those odd blue flowers.
If someone here should remember it youd think seeing it would have been enough.

The shrinking thing really gets me. It wasn't permanent either, so what gives?
I can see some things being weirdly brought over by people's memories, the way Retrospec sends people things.
But a lot of it just seems really random.
Which makes it hard to know what's next... at this point, it could rain food and I'd just buy an umbrella and try to go to work since none of this is ever going to make sense.

Yeah it was. A friend of mine remembered it first and then i remembered when she showed me.
Apparently i was used to it but it really did trouble me in this life...
I know how you feel though. After being shrunk like that im not sure if theres anything that could surprise me.
Maybe irritate me but not shock me.

Yeah, exactly. It was kind of dangerous, but most of these things just becomes a nuisance after a while.
But they fixed whatever made us shrink, so why can't they fix things now?
It makes me think shrinking was a mistake but this other stuff is on purpose.

Thats a neat theory. I think i agree.
If its coming from research and development like she says then it makes sense that theyre fiddling with something.
But im not sure what their aim is with that either.
Frankly this wouldnt be as frustrating if we at least knew their aims.

Right, at least then we could glean some kind of reason for why things are happening like this.
It might be trial and error for them, whatever it is they're doing.
At least when it was Jim we could say "well he's a jerk so he's fucking with us"
But if it really is the whole company then they have to be aiming for something, right?

When it was jim i honestly didnt think much further than hes a jerk tbh.
He sounded like he was personally taking some odd glee from yanking our chains.
It made it easy to forget its not just him. And if its a whole team you want to believe theres some sort of reason beyond that.
If this really is past life bullshit though i still cant think of a reason to make us remember it.

Yeah, I'm not sure if making us remember is on purpose or what.
I can see them wanting us to use their app, and maybe testing out whether they can bring things from people's memories into the city, but...
What are they getting out of giving us these memories or powers or whatever else?

If we were all gods reborn or something so grandiose it might make sense but...
Some people are only remembering fairly mundane things.
I cant even say if all of us were somehow very important people. Like heroes or some such types.
While i subscribe to the idea that all people matter im not sure if a company invested in this would agree.

It's true that everyone is important, though I can't imagine what we all have in common besides being on this app.
I only know one other person whose memories overlap with mine.

I found a person too. Or rather i was already chums with him and he popped up in my memories.
Im not sure if everyone has a connection like that but its interesting?
I guess whats hard about it for me is to imagine that were somehow special? Its like some captain planet shit and were trying to figure out what the fuck heart can do.

Yeah, I had the same thing happen to me.
We'd met before we both got the app and became friends after it.
Then I remembered him (though I didn't realize it was him at the time,) and he remembered me.
It's hard to say if that makes us special, if we really were chosen somehow.
Like, if people can forget the app, does that mean that there are people out there who might have weird memories too, they're just not remembering them?
