Hello Users, For those of you who are new: Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options. For all, new and old: Please be advised that should you go above and beyond the call of duty for Mr. Halloway's little game in the coming days, there may be a reward granted or information given. 100% completion would be the goal for that, should you have an interest. If you have no interest in the matter, please feel free to carry on as usual. R&D will not be handling further communiques for this month, or possibly the next few months. This should not, of course, have any impact on your usage of Retrospec™. The first milestone for the second of the colors lost has been met, and accordingly we have diverted resources to fix what could be fixed. R&D has alerted me that a bigger loss may occur in the near future, and I would advise you to be careful, though I am afraid neither they nor I can be much more detailed than that. Finally, I would like to extend congratulations to those of you who have now reached your sixth month. We hope you will continue to accept our assistance in these trying times. but yes I will admit I was a little scared
[reality: it was more than a little. but it wasn't, like, mortal terror, and she's had plenty of time to reflect on the experience and empathize with their motives. after decades of imperceptibility, they finally found some among the living who could hear them - of course they'd be excited. and who could say if they'd ever get this chance again? of course they'd be insistent.]

not very successfully, since we still got stuck in an infinite loop somehow, but they tried
and they tried to warn us about the city as well
although I couldn't understand much of what they were saying about that, and honestly I'm not sure they fully understand it either?
they were saying things like "the city is wrong" and "it grew too fast" but they would start getting agitated if you tried to press them for details
