I recently remembered about something about an ability called hypno that an esper can have. I'm not sure what other abilities there are but this one allows a person to control people's perceptions. Sort of like making illusions I guess?

I wonder if that's like what Retrospec is doing? Or are all the changes real?

Also, I'm trying to complete my bingo card and I need to find someone with a sibling to hang out with. I promise I'm not anyone suspicious or a stalker or anything like that, so if you have a sibling could you please give me their number? Sorry for taking up your time like this.

It's not technically impossible that someone's manipulating our senses, but it'd be hard to prove or disprove without knowing the limits of what hypno can do.

If you can't rely on what you perceive about the world, you can't trust if anything besides yourself is real. So I figure it's easier to believe what I'm seeing is actually happening, hallucinomemories aside, than start down that road.

I guess that makes sense. I really don't know much about it except what it does. I'm not even sure what an 'esper' is.

I guess it is freakier if we can't know if anything is real...still, it'd explain how they made the colour blue and green disappear, right?

It'd explain that, but it wouldn't directly explain why everyone else thinks that blue and green never existed. You'd have to do some memory-altering stuff for that, if it's just a perception change.

if it could also alter memories wouldn't it be sort of overpowered as an ability? it seems like the sort of power that'd be banned at official tournaments.

Definitely. I'd say if it was in a story, you'd have to put limits on it or you'd have a boring overpowered protagonist, but Retrospec doesn't strike me as a protagonist of anything.

exactly! and all my uncle's siblings are back in Japan too...but I wonder if hanging out with one of my aunts even counts?

I don't know. I just remembered it when I was talking to someone about how it'd be make more sense they just took our ability to see the colour blue instead of stealing the colour altogether...and then I remembered that hypno was an ability that could do that.

If it could alter memories though...that'd be kind of scary.

Well in this case they'd need to do something with memories for us to be getting these new ones all the time.

I've been remembering a bit after responding to some people. but I know that changing our perceptions doesn't just mean sight. It can take control of all the senses. I'm not sure if it could cover a whole city, but I think...making every feel as if we've shrunk or the world has grown is probably possible.

It's not any stranger a theory than the others that have been thrown around. Their capabilities are beyond that of normal humans, so they might be like the ones they've been granting powers to.

Should cutting out the middle man be possible, I do have a brother. But I think I'll be the one you meet. I don't know where he is.

I'm not sure I was an esper...I don't remember any espers. I just remember that espers existed and some of the powers they could have...
