So, apparently Fai Lachance is allergic to chocolate. That is almost the saddest thing I've ever heard.

In other news, I see Retrospec has been handing out yet more guns. If you would like to learn how to properly care for your new firearm, I will be holding a basic gun safety class at Deadeye Shooting Range on Saturday. Just drop in whenever. I'll be there from 10 to 4.

As for what qualifies me to offer this advice, I conduct ballistics tests for the Recolle Crime Lab. So I've taken apart. reassembled, and cleaned quite a few different guns. And fired them. If you want to know how to do that, I can show you that too, but there are better shots than me out there. You don't need to be a good shot to be able to properly take care of a gun though.

16 as a soft limit. I'm really hoping there isn't anyone under 16 getting guns.

Basically, people have been receiving/finding items from Retrospec that supposedly belong to the individual the memories originate from. A number of these items have been weapons of various kinds, including firearms.

What would you be charging for this class?

I know about them, yes. I don't know if anyone has ever referred to them as such to me before, but I know of them.

I just hadn't known that they were handing out weapons so readily, especially to people who may not know how to use them. It's not a bad idea, all in all. What you're doing, I mean.

Oh, no, I totally agree. It's like with kitchen knives or other dangerous household items. You keep it safely out of reach until they're old enough to understand the danger, and then make sure you teach them how to be safe.
