Welcome to the latest development in Retrospec's weirdness. They sent me these comics about myself a few months ago and most of them were really messed up. Damaged covers, missing pages, all sorts of rips and tears, you name it. But I just took another look at them today and a bunch of the damage is fixed now. Most of the covers on the Young Allies ones are mostly restored, and a lot of pages that were ripped out earlier are now back in the books like they were never gone.
I don't know what it means, but it's creepy.
Now here's where I ask the obligatory questions: has anyone else had anything similar happen, what's Retrospec playing at here, are they crawling into my windows when I'm asleep to glue new pages in, etc. etc.
(( Full image available here, because I ain't about to embed that nonsense. ))

**is this a situation where the comics and you are weirdly connected? like they're taking or losing damage as things change with you?

If they are, then it's not like Dorian Gray.
But everything about Toro and the Red Skull are new. Those weren't in there before, and I did get memories about them over the past few weeks before I looked at the comics again.
[ He's only just now noticing the pattern between what got filled in--both in the comics and in his head. ]

that sounds pretty damn connected to me.
and puts more evidence in the "you're a boy wonder" column or whatever?

But if that's what counts for a "boy wonder" then whoever made these comics had really low standards. The biggest wonder is how no one ever figured out that Bucky the random army brat was also Bucky the identical-looking kid in shorts.

Might be around my age, though, because the shorts fit me just fine right now.

retrospec sent you a 9 year olds shorts?

[he hopes that washes are happening and "nonstop" is not literal]

that's the best response i've seen to this stupid ass crazy retrospec bullshit. and i did a literal "screw you" magazine shoot with my cousin.

Well it's better than just sitting around and just letting Retrospec trample all over my life with dumb comics and stupid uniforms and getting rid of colors!
[ and sending him weapons and body parts, but, y'know. He's not gonna just admit that in public. ]

hey, i said i thought it was the best! i'd say don't get worked up, but you seem to be a pretty common target for this stuff.
no subject
Yeah, go figure. All of my packages from them have ranged on the scale from "creepy" to "literally stalking me."
[ Technically they've ranged all the way to "could have me arrested for murder", but he's not gonna just say that outright. ]
How much stuff have you gotten from them?

[...]
one hallucimemory, or whatever the stupid word we're using, is.

[ Holy crap. He can't believe it's that little. This is the most uneven distribution ever. ]
If I could give you some of mine, I would. I'm starting to lose track of how many packages they've sent me and how many memories they've packed into my head so far.

[he was joking before, but now he's a little -- concerned. you b-baka]
are you doing alright with it all, really...?
no subject
So, no, not really.
[ Especially not with the deliveries of a gun and a dismembered arm still fresh in his mind. But he's definitely not going to mention that anywhere on the app. ]

That's what I'm doing now.
