sanity chicken would be a good band name

all right fuck it
i was trying to avoid being That Crazy Person
but clearly everyone else is doing really well at sanity chicken
all edging around the topic or not bringing it up
or possibly it not being an issue for the majority though i am PRETTY fucking sure i can confirm it happening for at least like
nearly ten people maybe i dont know
so im just going to commit to my role as the crazy conspiracy theory guy
get me a whiteboard and some string you all
im ready to mark it up
wave goodbye sadly to my good name and all that
watch it circle the drain as i dump it in the toilet and watch it flush away
so anyway here we go

raise your fucking hand if youve had a very vivid hallucination of some sort
that felt super real
since you got this app
about a thing you definitely never remember yourself doing
also if youre going to go dave you sound like youve lost it
at least link me something entertaining off the internet to add some spice to what is sure to be a pretty common response
it isnt like yo remember when horses were a thing makes any of us sound any less ridiculous
so
admittedly i guess i could sound crazier
theres like a scale here
shit i should make a scale ill do that later
anyway

raise your hands or dont
go

I'll tell you, but I wouldn't just come to "brag." you can answer my question, since something you brought up is relevant.

you said in another conversation that you felt pain... so. if sensations, such as pain, follow you in these hallucinations, what do you make of these experiences? would you be more inclined to classify them as wild hallucinations with no bearing on reality, or something more? since mine is so unremarkable, I'm just trying to get insight from somebody with more experience... tripping.

I get ittt, I meant figuratively tripping. the hallucinations. of which you've claimed to have had multiple.

as mundane as mine was, I can't help but feel it's something more than that, myself. we're the same, there. I wondered if it was some carnal desire at first, STUPID as that would be, but I also have... doubts. were there any feelings accompanying your hallucinations that seemed out of place to you?

mundane, but stupid. I ate a watermelon like a savage. shamelessly, in front of strangers. no hands. the way you would if you wanted your own mother to disown you.

out of somebody's hands, more like.
it's mundane. pointless. but I didn't remember doing it until now.

do mundane things and maybe the mundane will follow.

unless that's what you were already doing. then I have no suggestions, except to try the opposite. do risky things and the mundane will follow?

it's worth a try! jump off a 15-story building! rob a bank without a disguise! order food you hate! the possibilities are both endless and ridiculous.

but try not to die, or else you won't get anything.

I wouldn't know, I haven't tried it out yet. I'm not so experienced.

then we'd be a city overrun with zombies. if one person manages that to begin with.

being a zombie in your dreams? that's really aiming high. or is this about hallucinations again?

[personal profile] furtherforward 2017-03-19 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
you died.

we were talking about the ability to feel pain in these. to feel the sensation of the moment. so you mean to tell me you experienced something you'd call death??
furtherforward: (AA)

private it is

[personal profile] furtherforward 2017-03-19 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
that's not what I was expecting at all. you're alive, and typing to me. does that really tell you that these are anything more than hallucinations? since you're alive, and not actually dead.

[personal profile] furtherforward 2017-03-20 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
there's ANOTHER person who has died like you?? what? out of all of the experiences this pool of users have collectively had, I'd say TWO is a startling number...

if there's really anything to these.

if these are more than hallucinations, and if you imagine dying vividly... does that make you a zombie?

maybe that means you CAN jump off that 15-story building and not worry about dying. maybe you're freakishly immortal.
