retrospec | (no subject)

from what i can tell, it is all app-based.
a friend of mine says that people in his family used to have the app and then when they were taken off of it, they forgot everything. but then a lot of months went by and now she's back and remembers some of the weird stuff going on. but not much.
and a few weeks before i got the app i remember the monsters and stuff but without the app? nothing.
it kind of makes me wonder if there is a way we can try to recreate the app itself or something and see if that would work to jar people's memories of the thing.

So if you lose the app, you forget, but sometimes it comes back...?
That sounds like what everyone else has been saying too.

I don't know, maybe there is. I'm going to try stealing my brother's phone next time I see him. Maybe if I can get the app back on there somehow, he'll remember again.

makes it harder though when we still don't know how we're chosen in the first place or why people are kicked off.

good luck. if you can get it to stick it might be a key to bringing him back onto the network.
maybe there's a way to sign into someone else's account? that's the other question i have about this thing.

that will definitely make things easier. it seems unlikely that an app that likes to repeatedly download itself could disappear for certain people so easily.

Because unless I have a musical instrument in my hands I'm pretty useless.
I don't think I'd last very long against monsters or anything like that.

i wouldn't call music useless.
and also, have you ever dropped a tuba on your face? because those things are very heavy and painful.
you could probably smack a few monsters around at least depending on the instrument.

No. I just know he was really frustrated by the app.

there's a bright side to everything.
and violins are cool. not entirely weapon-ready, you're right, but a piano can get amazing momentum if you push.
the college campus music rooms have one or two if we're ever under attack again.

people can do a lot when they're frustrated with something. it's entirely possible then that he figured out a way to remove himself that the rest of us haven't yet.

they're pretty decent. but yes! piano and bass right now. i am better at one than the other.

piano for me. i only picked up bass two years ago and i am still getting used to it. that was more of a favor anyway.

someone i talked to at the beginning of the month was theorizing with me about the app itself being haunted.
it is possible there's something even spookier about it than what everybody knows and that is why people forget about it.

Sounds like a big favor... but hey, I'm a violinist and my roommate plays the cello. So maybe you can practice with us sometime! With the bass or piano! [Oh wait-] I'm Elliot. Sorry.

As much as I'd rather not have a haunted app on my phone.

surprisingly it did not take as long as you'd think to learn.
oh! that would actually be really fun, i think? it has been a while since i've practiced with other people but strings are good. i took a break for a few years piano-wise but i'm taking a course this semester....anyway. yeah. definitely.

i still think it is entirely possible given it shows up whenever it wants, doesn't leave, and can make people do crazy things.
it makes as much sense as the unreality thing people mention.

security was sort of what i was going for, and...it is better than a lot of math. calculus i can sort of handle.

All I remember from mine was going to some school. I mean, some of the hair colors were weird but...that's about it for impossible.

my memories don't involve weird hair colors, but i apparently know a girl with dog ears. and we were traveling on a ship at the speed of light and some other stuff that i do not think is a good idea to say in public.
