Does anybody know what kind of makeup is best for covering up burns? Thanks.

Well, a tardy's a tardy. [....Although--] But if you end up being over fifteen minutes, remember to drop by the front office and get a slip. Seeing as your scar's a very recent addition to everyone that's seen you around so far, it shouldn't be too difficult to formulate a medical-related explanation that's passable for at least the first day.

It's an unexpected thing to get. A scar's also a great deal more tangible than a memory in a lot of ways, I'd think. That's...concerning, but it's good to hear that apparently the actual process of getting it was practically nonexistent. It seems some people aren't as fortunate with these more physical changes.
[Cutter coming to mind, for one...]

The fact that you're trying already puts you ahead of plenty others. But being on time is always most ideal, yes.

[Just missing an initial fifteen minutes of lecture can make or break your understanding of that entire day's lesson section, sometimes.....at least when it's Aizawa doing it. Notes are also great in general, yes. But he does appreciate your appreciation for math, Shouto, UNLIKE SOME OTHER STUDENTS OUT THERE...

Also--ah, here we go.]

[Private]

That's a fair guess to make, and could very well be the case. Though it's only one of many possible reasons, most likely...on the off chance any of this follows a line of logic at all.

[Have I mentioned how much Aizawa hates Retrospec's irrationality in general in brackets lately, it needs to be reiterated, he will never not be supremely irritated about this...]

I am. This hasn't been a very good month for him, as far as I know...and I take it you know too. If you've talked to him recently? If not, you should.

That it does. Almost the worst part of all this, really...it would all be at least somewhat more tolerable if there were any kind of rationality at work here, but I have yet to actually find any.

[But ah...]

I'm glad you didn't have to either. That's a very unnecessary thing to inflict on someone, let alone in two different forms. Is there any other adversity apart from the scar's general presence? [He's pretty sure he read something about Shouto's eyesight changing a bit further up the post, actually, but he'd rather hear it direct too...

In the meantime--]

So he's going out now...that's an improvement over a couple of weeks ago, at least. Not surprised to hear there's a significant difference.

How was he holding up?

Hm. Guess that's also to be expected... [Pouring boiling water on half your face would certainly be a bad time for all those face parts, at any rate, eye included.....which is extremely unfortunate, in this case. Man...] If you don't plan to already, you ought to get it looked at by an optometrist at some point. If you're not averse to contacts or the like it might help with at least partially mitigating your bad sight...

[Anyway, this second bit...is also not terribly surprising. But ah...]

I can't exactly blame him either. It's hardly been very kind to him...I don't think I actually know anyone who particularly likes Retrospec anyhow, for that matter. It's a logical reaction to have.

With the tools and knowledge currently at our disposal there doesn't seem to be any way to reverse things, no. But any fight we're going to have is bound to be rather less physical and more collective, I think...our best bet is figuring out how and why it's all happening.

I don't see why it can't be reversible, actually. Impossible enough for it to happen. Why not render it never having happened either? If that's the kind of logic we're going to have to work with.
[Here he is again, trying for logic anyway...but that's just how he is.] It's a matter of knowing how it's happening, though, so until then the best thing to do is pay attention...and try to weather things to the best of our ability, I guess.

Most people don't like hearing that, though.
