I came home to find this guy in my apartment. Anyone know anything about owls? It's acting like it knows me! Like, IT'S WAVING!

I guess so. I don't really have a reason to lie to you, though? I understand now wanting to believe what's going on, but these sort of weird things are going to keep happening.

Plenty of weird things can happen without magic. Star Trek is a wonderful example of this.

Wait, so would you be okay with it if I said "my friend set a trash can on fire with some scifi laser"? Or if the owl was a super advanced robot owl or something?

Actually, yes. There are always advancement in laser technology, I'm confident someday we will have more laser based weapons. And although interesting a robot owl would be, my owl is a real owl. Why would anyone program a fake owl to poop this much?

To convince you it was a real owl, maybe? (Sorry to hear about the poop, though. That sounds like a pain.)

No scientist would put this much effort into owl crap.

I had a teacher back home who spent her entire research time collecting and dissecting owl crap. It sounds like a thing a scientist would do.

And do you have any proof that your owl isn't a robot built by a feces-obsessed scientist to wave at you during the daytime and convince you that magic is real? Probably not!

(But possibly you do? That seems easier to disprove.)
