Hi guys, I have kind of a weird question, so bear with me... Would you trust this chicken to manage your real estate properties? How much would you pay a chicken for a job like this? I wish I was joking, but I think past-me once employed a chicken. As a manager. Really.

It can't be a regular, normal chicken. Animals are smart, but not in this way.

I'd say that sounds too crazy but after everything I've seen, I can't really discount it.

We are all from comic book realities.
Some people remember superhuman fights and action scenes, other people remember intelligent animals.

I mean, I can pick up a motorcycle with my bare hands so that's not off the mark.
But just because something works differently than it should doesn't mean we're all fictional.
Maybe my world just had smarter chickens and people who were super strong.

I don't know. Everyone whose spoke to me about their memories mention some sort of fantastic element. No one remembers a regular life in a regular world.

Maybe that makes the normal stuff weirder, then.
Everything I remembered seemed normal to me in my memories.

Except for the real estate chicken.

I admit I found it a little weird, but in my memory I just kinda went with it.
I mean I was the one who decided to hire it.

It's not exactly you - it's another version of you.

I don't know.
I think it's me.
Maybe not with my memories, but it feels like me.
Everything I remember feels like it's mine.

It's because you're seeing the other person's memories through their eyes. They're not you, just like the other man in my memories isn't me. We might be similar, but our histories are different.

Who we are now is different, sure.
I know sometimes the things we remember can be pretty bad.
But we were still like that before.

Even if it works like reincarnation, it's not like our personalities depend on those lives.

That's true.
Knowing what I know, I can look at the mistakes I made in the past and try to do better.
But they're still my mistakes.

I see it more like watching someone else's life.

Maybe I was him in another universe, but I feel uncomfortable thinking of me and him as the same person.

I don't agree, but that's an interesting way to look at it.
With everything I've gotten, I just know that it was me.

How do you do it?
This was easier when I thought of myself and the other Mohammed as different people.

It's easier to think of it as someone else, yeah.
But that doesn't make it true.
You have to accept yourself for who you were.

If you made mistakes, promise yourself you won't make them again.
That's the best we can do.

And what if other my was a terrible person?
What if I saw myself be awful to a a friend of mine in the other world? Just treat him like nothing and walk away while he's slowly dying?
How am I supposed to be the same person as him?

Then you would know why you were like that.
You haven't lived the life you remember, so the choices you would make are different.
You can understand why, but that doesn't mean you'd do the same thing if you were in that situation now.

I could have been him.
It's something that I don't want to think about.

I understand.
It's something to avoid.
But you can't avoid it if you don't know what to look for.
