dunno. it's mostly the money thing. i'm pretty easy.

I have money, don't make a habit of whining, and have more than once been called crazy, among other things.

And I'm sure it would make someone I care about very happy if he knew I was getting my strength back under the watchful eye of a responsible expert in the field of personal training.

For one thing, it means I'm not in the business of buying people's approval. If you don't like my sense of humor, that's fine; I'd rather you take me as I am and dislike the things about me that you dislike, rather than faking it from being paid to.
