so hey, anybody else think it's kind of weird all of this stuff is happening lately and the 13th is on a friday this month? i am just saying.

but because of that, i want to ask you guys something! superstitions. do you believe in them? do you have them? what do you think about the really common ones like broken mirrors, walking under ladders, oooor…you know, black cats crossing your path? and by crossing i mean maybe like crossing and weaving through your ankles and probably tripping you on the sidewalk while following you around town?

just wondering. for no reason whatsoever.

i mean yes, that is also true, but there's a wikipedia article and everything for the actual day that talks about the history of it which is sort of weird.
unpleasant is a very good word for it though.
have the nightmares and stuff been bothering you a lot?

I can't say I've been sleeping well, no.

i know a lot of people have kind of given up really sleeping anyway until all of this stops.
but i think the dreams are getting a little easier! at least knowing it is a dream makes it easier to break whatever is going on in there.
but at the same time, that does not explain why we can travel between people's dreams.
but these things supposedly do not last long...right?

I've only been here a few months, I admit, but so far most particularly objectionable things tend to pass followed by an announcement from Retrospec.

But my dreams began well before this month, I had thought them simply part of the memories that seem to return to us.

Do you expect them to pass too?

i just moved here at the end of august so i am still getting used to everything. but that is good to know it is a pattern.

it is possible, i think, but that would depend on the dreams themselves? when did they start?

August, I suppose, although I haven't the impression that's the same for everyone.

i had people walking through my dreams for a day in august, but otherwise my dreams have been quiet.
i think maybe that part will stop, but that doesn't mean much if people are going to keep having nightmares anyway.
then it just means dealing with them alone.

Surely that is better than people walking them uninvited?

maybe if you think about it that way.
on the other hand it has been sometimes helpful to have people randomly barge in.
but that might just be me.

Does it not unnerve you to think that your thoughts may not be private?

considering the fact that my thoughts haven't really been private since i got here? i am starting to get used to it.

otherwise...i guess it is easier to play everything off as dream logic if it is something i don't feel like sharing with other people. who's going to know?

something like that. i do not really think it is so much a lie as it is omitting things your subconscious comes up with.
that can be a pretty scary place as it is.

I believe that is termed a lie by omission, which still contains the word 'lie'.

Not to say I disapprove of such a thing, if I had no choice I can see that I might do the same thing. All the same, I would rather I did not have to.

and while that makes a lot of sense and everything doesn't it get kind of annoying to keep all of your thoughts to yourself? like in general.

because there are a lot of things a person thinks each day.
and probably a lot of things a person does not get answers to?
i don't know, maybe that's just me.

Perhaps some of us are content to find our own answers, rather than seek them from others.

and how is that working out for you?

Quite well, before recent developments.

i hope it gets easier then and goes back to what you were used to then.
things seem to be getting harder for a lot of people.
