so hey, anybody else think it's kind of weird all of this stuff is happening lately and the 13th is on a friday this month? i am just saying.

but because of that, i want to ask you guys something! superstitions. do you believe in them? do you have them? what do you think about the really common ones like broken mirrors, walking under ladders, oooor…you know, black cats crossing your path? and by crossing i mean maybe like crossing and weaving through your ankles and probably tripping you on the sidewalk while following you around town?

just wondering. for no reason whatsoever.

i cannot tell if i should be honored or worried about that.

and so it seems! i always thought retrospec left stuff for us in really obvious places or mailed stuff, but the cat just showed up one day and won't leave. i think that is how it works though, yes. if it was already mine it shouldn't be a problem.
the problem is that i do not remember it being mine so i am still trying to figure that out and make sure it's not because of everything else happening around here.

And maybe it's a little of both, too? Retrospec's got a weird sense of humor. Maybe they realized, "Hey, it's October!" and decided now's the perfect time to hand out a few black cats. And then they looked at a calendar and saw Friday the 13th and didn't want to waste the opportunity.

i have noticed that though. they have sent me some other stuff i do not really understand yet but at least that was stuff i knew was mine officially. the cat wasn't like that though.
also? it is possible. joanne said she loved halloween and stuff when she made that post at the beginning of the month didn't she? maybe they really did time it right.
the implications of that are just a little creepy though. that they are really watching everywhere.

Yeah, I got a few things like that too.

All they’d have to be watching to get that right is the calendar. Joanne didn’t strike me as the type to mess with people just for the sake of it, though - at least not like Jim. Maybe it is just some random cat and you’re just the lucky one to get chosen today of all days.

At this point, though? I'd be more surprised if they aren't watching all of us.

i am really hoping i will never have to meet jim at this rate. if it is random then it is one hell of a coincidence.
there are over a hundred people on this network in the city. how could they watch all of us? cameras? something else?

They’ve probably got cameras set up somewhere. Or maybe they use our phones or whatever we’ve got that connects us to the network in the first place to spy on us. Don’t they say people can do that through webcams or whatever?
And anyway, we’ve got no way of knowing for sure how many people are working for them. Just because we’ve only seen a few doesn’t mean that’s all they’ve got. They’ve been pretty secretive about everything else up to now, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t be secretive about that, too.

that is about how i feel with everything else i have now. shit keeps showing up in my room or my closet and at first it was easy to brush it off and now there is a mutant cat. a little harder to ignore.

i never knew if the webcam thing was real or not, but that is a good point.
that we do not know how many people are working for them, that is.
maybe they have a whole network of people since they keep adding more people to retrospec anyway.
i am still trying to decide what i would even do if i ever had a chance to ask them what the fuck they're up to, you know?

You know what. I think you're right. It must be bad luck. I can't think of any other way to describe a black cat with four eyes.

it is a little nerve-rattling but i guess i should be glad she is not a zombie. yet.
