Hello everyone!
I know that this month has been making everyone pretty anxious with everything that's going on.
This is really the first time I'm experiencing the brunt of all of this, so it's been a... let's say, learning experience!
I've been trying to think of a way to get my mind off of all of this, so can I ask a favor of you?

I didn't know you likes a little romance in your ghost stories! I'll keep that in mind when I look for more. That does narrow it down.

Maybe? The artist painting her image so that he wouldn't forget her visit... He probably was freaked out, but that painting is famous. I guess that can be love too.

I like all kinds of ghost stories, but the romantic ones have a really... unique and bittersweet feel to them, don't they?
They usually make you feel sorry for the ghosts in a way that you don't in other ones.

It's a different kind of love. A lot of people can enjoy it now, so it spreads it.

I can see that. Rarely do couples die at the same time, right? So they're separated by something that's cruel, but a part of life. I never thought about feeling bad for the ghost though... we can see and hear the living, after all.

If my mom were a visiting ghost, I picture her in all white like that painting, without much thought into it. That's how widespread of an effect that story had.

I kind of like to think that there would be more color.
The all white might be a little... I'm not sure.

It's supposed to be a little unsettling, isn't it? I mean, the artist's dead lover was a geisha, but she still spooked him.

But more color would be nice... aren't there kimono that you can only see the pretty details if you look at it up close, or when the light shines off it differently?

A lot of people probably prefer the white in horror stories, too, since it contrasts a lot with blood.
It makes it stand out more.

Yeah... Perfect for those creepy movies too where it's all bleak and suddenly, a flash of white! Then red I guess.

Oh! There was this cult-classic horror game where you're trying to avoid a ghost girl in a white, but bloodied dress. She wanders around while you do other things to progress, but if she touches you, game over instantly.

Is that one of those games where you can't defend yourself like in other games?
You can't use weapons or anything.
I've heard they've been getting more popular.

Something like that! Your weapon is a magical flashlight and it starts off really weak...

I guess that's scarier than being able to shoot down everything spooky.

Being able to just shoot down anything that attacks you does seem a lot easier than having to rely on something else.

Well, most horror games with guns put a limit on bullets for some tension or to raise the difficulty.

But having a normal weapon makes you feel a little more in-control.

Back to the ghost in the game, she apparently has a sad backstory? You collect her notes and stuff from when she was alive.

Is there any way to get a happy ending for the ghost in the game?

Or can you only save yourself?

I think the best ending has you help her find peace! Of course, that's the harder one to get, and she's still dead.

There are also a few bad endings, but those happen if you're selfish. Sympathy for the dead is probably the message here.

I wonder which is the ending that most people get...
