I think so too! Everyone seems so ready to judge it right off the bat though. I think we should try to make the best of it.

I was hoping to get your opinion on whether or not I should rename my friend when adoption finally comes around. 🏡 🐶 I want to give them a fresh start and everything but would it be rude to change their name after they had it for so long?

Well, if you want to rename them I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Especially if you just want to give them a clean start.

But you would have to re-train them to respond to the new name. It might be confusing for them at first.

That's a good point! I didn't think of having to retrain my buddy in responding to a new name. 👩 💬 🐶 ❓ That's something I should keep in mind when I visit the shelter.
