Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Less than two hundred invitations have gone out, and membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. As a reminder, everything besides uploading a profile picture and information was locked until this post. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Oddly, profile pictures still cannot be swapped out at this time, so hopefully you took a good one.

This post is an overflow from the original post here. Feel free to either carry over threads from there or create entirely new ones.

Mmm... yeah! It doesn't make any sense at all! Though I guess they could be getting that info to sell, at the same time, but... then. Half of it would be people wondering what they're even doing!

But... you are right, there. Which means... one or some of us are going to need to say SOMETHING at some point, right?

[This of course, before she's realized that things just DISAPPEAR when you try to show other people.]

I wonder if any of the information they gather would be useful, however. Our names, contact information, and demographics, maybe, but I'm not sure if our undying love for cats would be very valuable.

[ Since it seems like a lot of people on this network are wonderful cat lovers. ]

I'm sure at least a few of us will. Some of it is on this app itself but we should move out onto different types of social media. Don't news stations tend to eat up stories such as these as well?

People can talk about lots of stuff over social media, yeah? Lots of people take privacy for granted!

[Maya's been kind of freaking out in a lot of other discussions, so it goes to show sometimes all you have to do is hit the right chord with her to get her to talk semi-rational. Sometimes.]

But yeah, that's true! And if we show it around, it shouldn't take long to figure something out.

[Said minutes before she finds out things just DISAPPEAR, probably.]

That's true. I did catch one person already typing in their password multiple times into the network so everyone could see it... It was quite unfortunate.

[ That's one way to put it... ]

...sure hope they... change that... even with only a hundred or so people on here, that could end very badly for them...

[Which is only pointing out the obvious, of course.]

I just hope we figure out something sooner than later. If I try to put it away and not think about it, I just keep coming back here, and when I'm here I start to freak out a little.

[Well, more than "a little..."]

I did see some people asking if it was the same password for their other accounts too...

That's very understandable. Everyone with the app seems to feel the same way, so with our combined efforts, we should eventually find a solution. I'll keep you updated if I hear anything?

Let's be real, odds are it is. I saw someone use 1111 as a PIN the other day!

But, thanks! And I'll try to do the same. I mean, if there's this many people around, surely we can figure out SOMETHING, right?
