Welcome to Retrospecβ„’, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Less than two hundred invitations have gone out, and membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospecβ„’ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. As a reminder, everything besides uploading a profile picture and information was locked until this post. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Oddly, profile pictures still cannot be swapped out at this time, so hopefully you took a good one.

This post is an overflow from the original post here. Feel free to either carry over threads from there or create entirely new ones.

It's so nice to see you're also using this. With how strong Team Dog is right now, I'm certainly going to be looking into one when I visit the animal shelter! Thank you for your insight. πŸ˜„ πŸ˜„ πŸ˜„

And to answer your question - I do have a lot of suggestions on where is the best place to go stargazing but a lot of them are located over at the woods. ⭐ πŸŒ™ ⭐ 🌳 🌲 🌳 If you'd rather not go there, I also know a few places around the city that are dark enough at night that'll allow one to see the sky more easily.

It did show up in my phone, so I thought I should at least try it out. [ Also he has no clue how to turn off the notifications and it keeps popping up constantly. ] There are teams for animals, is there?

Though knowing places in the city would be good as well, I don't mind at all. A change of scenery is great for the creativity. I may be a city boy
[ he's probably using that word wrong. ] but I do love seeing places outside of cities as well.

It terms of trying to pick a friend to get from the shelter! A lot of people seem to agree a dog and I would click very well and I already have an idea of who to get. 🐢 πŸ’ πŸ‘©

Okay! Give me a second to list down all my favourite spots. I'll even send you pictures so they can be your point of references when you go there! πŸŒƒ 🌠

[ a few minutes pass but, as promised, she soon sends a list of places she likes to go. along with attachments of photos of the places she had taken in the pass.

there's… a lot of places listed there, with notes about her opinions on when to go there and what to bring. she's obviously quite dedicated to her hobby. ]

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If you ever want to join the astronomy club when we have official get togethers, let me know! So many events are happening this year. 🌟 🌟 πŸ”

[ it makes her giddy, the thought of all the stargazing events that'll be happening this year. comet 45P and an annular eclipse in the same month? what luck! ]

That could be fun, if I have time I'd enjoy that. Very many events?

There are! This year has so many happening in the following months but the one I'm looking forward to the most are the meteor showers.

Something about them are just so exciting! And while the Geminids Meteor Shower is considered king of them all, I do have a soft spot for the smaller ones.
[ for once, ainsley wants to be serious in a conversation of hers. the sudden absence of emojis speaks volumes. ]

[ This must be really Serious Business to her, then. ]

How wonderful. It sounds like you have a lot to look forward to.

From an aesthetic point of view, I can certainly see the appeal of smaller showers.

[ it very much is. one of her greatest possessions has to be the fact she still owns her first telescope that she had gotten from her dad decades ago.

only seems like yesterday when she was looking for her first shooting star… ]
There is, isn't there? I love how intimate it feels to see the small showers people often look over in favour of the bigger ones. Something about seeing a phenomenon others rarely observe is thrilling, for some reason.

How interesting! They sound very wondrous to see.

I have not seen many showers before, and never on purpose.

Really? Oh, this could be a special occasion for you then! Your first proper viewing of a shower, ever!

If that interests you, of course.
