So... it's been two days and I think I've calmed down a bit. I've spoken to a couple of people about it, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had to deal with this. I know on this app people have acquired entire languages, such as Japanese and Russian, however, I have yet to come across someone who has received an entire accent.

I am originally from England, but once I moved to America I completely lost it and I've been speaking with an American accent since... until now I guess.

[Derek pauses for a second before speaking again.]

Bloody hell, please tell me I'm not the only one who has had to deal with this?

[Derek attempts to speak in an American accent but comes out horribly with a really bad southern flair to it.]

I can't even do a proper American Accent anymore!

[Derek reverts back to his English accent.]

I sound like a complete tosser!

So the other you is from the United Kingdom, then? I've heard that other people might be from space! Though I guess we might all be from space, technically...but like space twice! Double space? Space in their "other" life.

Well, it is very hard to be that age...maybe he was having a rough time?

I've heard people tell me they are from some weird place where if the light hits you, you die. So really, space seems plausible. Besides, there's Star Trek. Why not live in space?

You consider a kid who gets packages of candy from an owl, taunting a boy with glasses, and wishing someone dead a rough time? I'm more nervous of what kind of adult he will end up as.

You mean vampires?? People who remember a world where everyone is vampires??

My cousin actually went to space! By accident, I think, back when I first got this app.

According to the person, it wasn't vampires. It was a very strange world apparently.

You have a point, but also remember, it seems like Retrospec wants us to turn into our "other selves." Does this mean that my personality will change also?

It seems like there are a lot of strange and interesting worlds out there! It's sad that they were destroyed.

I don't know...I guess there are some things that we can't change about ourselves, and maybe not all of our thoughts, but we can definitely decide how we treat other people! Candy from owls sounds nice, but since you don't sound like you want to taunt someone now, maybe knowing that will help you later?

You would hope Retrospec doesn't have control over your thoughts. I already feel my other self has questionable morals, yet I also know that i barely know who he is.

We saw a lot of things last month, but we were still in control of how we handled things...I think that as long as you are a good person now you will continue to be a good person, even if Retrospec wants to try and make you think otherwise.

That is some optimistic thinking you have going there. You don't run into that much anymore with Retrospec messing with everything.

Did you ever figure out what kind of freaky ass ghost that was we had to deal with last month?

Well I haven't really been on Retrospec for every long, but I guess I just don't want to believe who we are can be changed that quickly...?

No! I have no idea what was going on, but I did have some other strange experiences even after we dealt with it at the church. I don't know why, but I feel kind of sorry for it.

You feel sorry for something that tried to eat you? Are you sure you're ok?

It came back! I don't know how, but about a week after I thought we had made it go away, it found me again. It tried to talk to me and it just looked really sad...

It said it didn't want to be forgotten.

Did you tell it you couldn't possible forget it considering it tried to eat you?

[ HONESTLY. That's a very fair way to have gone about it, now that she thinks about it. ]

It just kind of disappeared before I could say anything... But I feel like that may not be what it wanted to hear.

It doesn't matter what it WANTS to hear, what matters is what it NEEDS to hear. And what it NEEDS to hear is that EATING PEOPLE IS WRONG!

If it comes back, I'll be sure to tell it! I did tell it to stop trying to scare my friends...I think that's what made it sad to begin with.

It was sad because it couldn't scare your friends?

Actually, it looked really sad after a friend said that it was upsetting me. And that I was afraid of it.

Was it really that surprised? It tried eating you? That is one strange ghost.

Yes, it was. I can't really say it makes much sense, though...I wish I knew more!

Maybe you'll get a memory that will explain why the ghost was following you?

I hope so, but at the same time it makes me a little nervous, you know?

True, not all the memories we get from Retrospec are pleasant. Good luck with that.
