So... it's been two days and I think I've calmed down a bit. I've spoken to a couple of people about it, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had to deal with this. I know on this app people have acquired entire languages, such as Japanese and Russian, however, I have yet to come across someone who has received an entire accent.

I am originally from England, but once I moved to America I completely lost it and I've been speaking with an American accent since... until now I guess.

[Derek pauses for a second before speaking again.]

Bloody hell, please tell me I'm not the only one who has had to deal with this?

[Derek attempts to speak in an American accent but comes out horribly with a really bad southern flair to it.]

I can't even do a proper American Accent anymore!

[Derek reverts back to his English accent.]

I sound like a complete tosser!

How long did it take you to make one that actually worked? A fortnight? A month? Don't tell me it took you a year?

About as long as it takes you to pluck your eyebrows, I'd guess.

Though seriously mate, how long did it take you?

Two months.

[Derek shrugs.]

Eh, not bad. It could have been longer.

Well, I was a determined little idiot back then. The only difference now is that I'm not so little anymore.

Same here, surprisingly. You aren't so annoying when you aren't crying over your accent. Don't go arresting any of my friends.
