Well. Unless someone else has gotten an entire house from Retrospec, I rather think I win. In bragging rights, if nothing else.

I'm jealous. Your eyes are back to normal, and mine are still the same distressing gray.

But on the other hand, I get the pleasure of seeing yours as they should be, so it's a give-and-take situation, I think.

Though "distressing" isn't the word I'd use. You're hardly some hideous monster with grey eyes; it's simply a different appeal, that's all.

It's a little distressing when you still sometimes expect to see green and then don't.

They do. And it's a fairly good indicator of your moods sometimes, or when you're feeling particularly demonic. I get a warning before Youko arrives, which is for the best, frankly.

Have you observed that happening often?

Mostly around the full moon. You tend to get aggressive around that time, have you noticed? Most possessive, more aggressive, more eager to dominate . . . I suspect you'd see that pattern if you were fighting regularly too.

Oh, absolutely. Some of the oldest kitsune stories involve them changing into beautiful women and becoming the wives of human men.

Well, you're not human. And I don't know about marriage just yet. But I could fulfill the rest of that, I think, fairly easily enough. It might be fun, getting to be taller.
