So, uh... this thing is apparently on every device I use. Is that normal?

And... has anyone figured how how to change their display name?

Unfortunately no. I've been asking, and it seems like there's no way to change display name or get rid of it. It's all very strange and most people are confused.

But, yeah. It's uh... Well, I'm not exactly a fan of my full name, yanno? I was hoping we could use nicknames, but I haven't seen an "edit profile" anywhere.

Nice to meet you, Don. And I don't mind mine, but I haven't seen any sort of editing function. You kind of have to take it as it is, or leave it.

Only we don't get to leave it.

I don't have any siblings, so I'm afraid I couldn't say what that would mean when it comes to phone apps. Do they cause trouble a lot for people? Or am I missing something?

Oh... not like that. I mean like, someone watching us without us supposed to know about it. Like spying on us from a position of authority. Government watching.

Sounds pretty crazy, I know, but... well, I can't help but wonder. It's pretty strange.

Yeah. Like... why bother? What I've seen so far? it's all just inane chatter and pictures of animals and dumb accident videos.

If I were more the joking sort, I might make a quip about cat videos taking over the world, but I think that might be a little silly, even for this situation.

That's certainly one way to think of it. I haven't quite decided how I feel, but at this point the fact that I can't change it does mean that I'm more resigned to dealing with the app for the moment. It has its benefits.

Agreed. that seems to be the main benefit. Most of those I've met are people I might never have met otherwise, so I suppose it's not bad.
