If Retrospec gives you an item that you suspect is a murder weapon, what do you do with it? Should it be turned into the police or do you just keep it somewhere...? And what if you accidentally already got your fingerprints all over it...?

I talked to someone a while back with a similar problem. They got a bloodied bat.

And I got guns.

That's really dangerous! Why would Retrospec give people things like that?

What worries me more than that is the kind of lives we used to live.

It's kind of depressing that I haven't really heard of anyone having a happy or normal past life? Everyone seems to have had hardships in their previous lives.

That's also true. I think I would prefer to have the life I had before the app, honestly..

I guess it would be easier if we were ignorant of all the things happening around us and about our past lives... but wouldn't that be like living a lie?

Maybe. But to those that aren't in the app, what they're living is their 'truth'.

But I don't know much about that kind of stuff.

Does that mean if you were given the option to give up your app and go back to that pre-Retrospec life, you'd do it?

[ this question actually has sakutarou thinking for a while. he thinks about the relationships he's made during this month and a half of having the application. then, he thinks about the terrible memories he's been getting.

if he had the choice...he wouldn't be strong enough to say 'no'. ]

I can't blame anyone who'd choose to go back. It's hard with all these memories and incidents in the city.

[ naegi knows that his past life wasn't great but he can only imagine how it is for others, especially for people who lived completely different lives that they presently disagree with. if at least they had a way out... ]

It'd be nice if Retrospec at least gave people the option to delete the app if they wanted to.

It would but I don't think Retrospec will ever let have that option. They don't seem very open to suggestions.

They might say that they're 'helping us'. But I'm still trying to figure out how.
