And Kei's other self would allow that man to "wish for death." What does that mean? No, he understands it simply, but there is more said and unsaid than he can unravel. ]

With all this business going on, some frivolousness ponderings might be an enjoyable distraction.

Well, then. If you could wish for anything, what would it be? [ A pause. Kei thinks of sending it like that yet he feels that may be too telling. Too telling of what? He's uncertain, but adds more to cover up his uncertainty. ] Though, with Valentine's Day is coming, most are thinking of just wishing for someone to spend that day with, hm? :)

Now that I can't agree with. The wish itself is simple and pure, but I doubt you yourself could ever be called uncomplicated. And I mean that in the kindest way possible.

I suppose that it is and I should be a little truthful as to why. [ He usually is for nihilistic "nothing in life matters" speeches if left alone rather than wondering after the wishes of others. ] In one of my memories, there was an item that "he" spoke of sounded that one wished upon. Like a lamp, I suppose? I'm afraid I don't know much more than what it sounded like.

But, anyway, I just wondered after the wishes of others. It seems like most have something that they wish for and that most of their wishes are filled with goodwill.

Even if you don't agree, it will be fine. I don't think there's anything wrong with not agreeing with everyone. Someone on this app probably had a worse life now than what they're remembering. Or someone may find insight that they couldn't find in their life here. If what they get back ends in being "good," there's no reason to agree with everyone else, right?

It's true. There's no reason to agree because everyone's experiences will be different. Though, I can't say that my own experiences have been unpleasant yet.

I'm relieved to hear that, Ai. I don't wish ill upon anyone, and so if your experiences have been well, that means you're on the path to seeking out your own happiness. Or is that just me hoping as much?

I'm uncertain that I will, but the sentiments are appreciated. Please come by whenever you would like. And I wanted to tell you, too, that I decided to change myself a little.

I think I am going to attempt to get closer to people. I don't know if that will mean I will experience happiness, but I want to do more than what I am for people.

That's a strange thing, you know. That's what my parents said when I started to choose things for myself. Not knowing if it'll bring happiness is, unfortunately, just a side effect.

I seem to be reminding a lot of people of things that happened in the past. I can't say that it isn't starting to trouble me. [ Since most of the memories appear to be shitty ones. ] But it seems like the memory you had was a good one, one of parents wishing their daughter well.

Actually, that wasn't a memory. My memory was moving in with who I assume was my boyfriend. Quite an expensive looking place.

Probably, and I am grateful already. I feel myself relaxing already. [ For a nihilistic person that has kept to himself for close to forty years, it is tiring to put so much effort into involving himself in other people's lives. But he feels he must; his efforts will bear fruit and he hopes the fruit is not some insidious poison. ]

[ Indeed, he feels like he owes a debt to Ai. He believes seeing her will be good, as he needs some negativity and perspective. But he also does not want to cause her to stumble on her tentative steps toward happiness. ]
