A wish.

And Kei's other self would allow that man to "wish for death." What does that mean? No, he understands it simply, but there is more said and unsaid than he can unravel. ]
With all this business going on, some frivolousness ponderings might be an enjoyable distraction.
Well, then. If you could wish for anything, what would it be? [ A pause. Kei thinks of sending it like that yet he feels that may be too telling. Too telling of what? He's uncertain, but adds more to cover up his uncertainty. ] Though, with Valentine's Day is coming, most are thinking of just wishing for someone to spend that day with, hm? :)

That certainly would not affect anyone save I wonder if it would mean that everyone would have longer days, then.

Because that wish might negatively affect them along with me or others. What if they don't know what they're getting into? I believe people should know their options of what they're getting into before they make a decision such as taking on a wish.

I do. In some cases, it might take a little while for those choices to lead to happiness, I still think that it can happen.

I believe that it is possible to find happiness so long as you know there is a choice. That is what I'm attempting to impart upon a friend's daughter. I find that even college students believe that they're on a set course and have no say, but so long as they realize they have some small control over their world, they'll feel a little less ill at ease.

It's the same that I tell my students and the kids I watch over. Some of them have told me what you just described, I have to let them know that it's not the case. They do have a choice in the matter even if it's a small one. That knowledge will make things easier in the long run, since it is easy to fall into that type of tunnel vision thinking when it comes to something as big as college or a similar situation where it might feel as if there are no choices available.
It's something I hope my students leave with when they leave my class.

Students and kids? I'd take it that you're a professor, then? I won't say that I'm proficient at all with looking after the young. I've lived most of my life alone and disconnected from the world. I believe that acquiring this app has been a wake-up for me.
And one such kindness I wish to give is helping others realize they can always choose their next step.

I am, I teach history at Recolle University. I make sure to let my students know about the choices people have made in the past that has led to the way things are now. I do let them know that choices can lead to the changes of the future as well.
I've always been one to take in kids that society has written off due to their choices. They're not bad kids, they just made choices that are seen as bad. I can't turn my back on them. I try to help them as much as I can.
Really? I was apprehensive of this app when it appeared on my phone. It's good to know that it can be helpful too.
That's a nice thing to give, showing the way can be the first step for many people.

Anyway. Is that so? Do you happen to know a professor named Howard Carter? But I digress, that is a wonderful way to view literature. It is good that we can look at the mistakes of the past that actually lead to a better future. It is only through error that we can eventually solve the problem of our happiness. I do believe those that are younger tend to believe that once they make a mistake, they are off the path of happiness. But that is not so.
I received some memories and it has made me want to do more, too.

Hmm, the name sounds familiar, I don't believe we've met in person though. I hear many names around the grapevine of the university. I'll be sure to keep an eye out when I go back on campus.
Yes, it's one of the points I make with my students that the future can be changed. Despite what may have happened in the past, it's possible to change the future and to help someone from going down the same path. It's not possible to convince everyone, if I can convince a few then I'm happy.

I suppose that he would best be known as a grapevine-type name. I say that with the uttermost kindness to him, of course. He is a good friend. Whether I am a good friend back is something to be pondered about, of course.
That's all we can really do.
Unfortunate ones, of course. I don't intend to be vague but it's hardly the kind of conversation to have with you over this network. Not that it is upsetting to me, no. It is more that it's better spoken about in-person. Lessens the shock, I suppose?

Being a good friend is another question to ask along with the answers to think about. However, worrying about it won't help, we can't be too concerned about that.

But also please be as negative as you can. I'm afraid your cheer will only bring him down.
Indeed. Friendship is both the good and the bad. I've found I had to tell too many people this, and it is troublesome. I, of course, don't mean that they should get into needless arguments, but you cannot always expect to show your "good" self and never show your anxious, tired, worried, and self-loathing self to your friends. When one only shows one side, a person only feels so close to someone. So yes, there's no need to worry or concern oneself too much.

While that is a valid point there is the fear of letting that side of you out with the intention that it will be accepted as well. People do have a difficult time trying to accept negative feels when they're confronted by it. Some people can handle it, others can't. However, I suppose that would be a good way to see who you can grow close to. If the display of such negative emotions will bring your friendship closer or fracture it.

Not everyone can always be positive. Not everyone can always hide their negative emotions. To hide them forever because it may fracture a friendship, the friendship should have been broken long ago. Those are just my feelings on it, anyway, that I am more or less reiterating.
