So does anyone else have children in the memories they've been getting?

To answer my own question the woman I am in my memories has a son and then her son has three children as well.

[ So this tbh pretty young looking 41 year old is a grandmother in her memories but that's beside the point. ]

Does that mean that something is doing the attacks and the wolves are being blamed, then?

Maybe! I think it might be more like something is forcing the wolves to attack. That Carlisle man seems to think it's "magic rabies."

You know, the one who sent out those texts at the top of the month and brought us out here? I heard you guys in the city got even more texts from him.

Who in the village are they attacking?

Livestock, mostly. They've also killed wild game and isolated the people here more than they already were. They also harass or attack people who go into the woods or too near this old ski lodge apparently.

The town's been fighting them since October.

You seriously forgot about him?

I cannot actually see any sense in what they're doing.
Other than attempting to drive the people out.

Well he is someone from Retrospec who actually responds back. At least to us, but his initial message included an inbox too I think?

But no, I couldn't either, it's why I decided to try to communicate with them. Well, that and I was with two young women who wanted to try even more than me.

I'll do my best to remember he exists and maybe speak to him later.

I don't know if you noticed yet, but people our age on this app almost feel like anomalies sometimes. Just 20-somethings everywhere.

I wouldn't say fond, per se, though. More that he's been more forward than anyone else, and I can speak with him as evenly as possible with a Retrospec employee.

I don't know about you, but my twenties were not an enjoyable time.
My late thirties are not shaping up to be much better.
But I can honestly say I would rather keep moving forward than backslide for the sake of feeling young.

It's being drawn into the sense that you're able to talk to someone who has control.
And that you can feel familiarity with someone like that.

Oh really? I loved my twenties, honestly! But if I had been on this app at that age, I'd certainly be a lot more foolish.

So "proud" might be a bit much, but I suppose I am grateful.

As for Carlisle...? Yeah, I can't deny that's somewhat accurate.

I did, but it's meant to be open to anyone, so it can live beyond me if I were to get removed from the app.

But ideally, more people will end up writing different sections of it to collect more perspectives and knowledge together. I'm sure I've missed things, especially about August or God forbid this month's mess; what the other three groups are doing.

I'm afraid I don't know much about what is going on with the other groups save that there is a fishing village and it is most likely doomed no matter what they do. But I suppose that is just me hoping that it is for a friend that found the place disturbing.

Well I sure hope it's not doomed I've got a friend out there too.

But that's fine, people just should report when they do and if they have anything I've gotten wrong there rewrite things.

Obviously, even trying to understand *all* of this is above and beyond.

Well, not in the way that people think of doom, anyway.

It is. But so long as an attempt is made, that's more than worth a few incorrect statements here and there. The big picture is that we're attempting to discover more about the situation that we are in so we can better know our world. Is that not so?
