Apparently, there are some stables in town where I could house him until I get my own built.

if you need room to walk it around and stuff, the woods are pretty good for that, anyway
some trails are cleared out now

Looks like it. I've heard the place with the forest is also pretty quiet and deserted, so that sounds perfect for walks.

just make sure people know you're going out there
the forest can be pretty weird
idk about dangerous but definitely weird
