For those of you who have careers right now, or are working on them:
What lead you to it?
Do you like it or is it just a job to you?
After you got memories back would you rather be doing what you are in those memories?

well yes
it pays the bills, at least
and it gave me something to do in my humdrum life outside university
i also work as a host at sunshine but very rarely

why are you asking this anyway?
are you finally looking for more jobs?

I like acting less. I'm still good at it, but I don't know how long that'll last.
I'm expecting it to get written over.

I'm trying to see how people decided.
I'm going to uni next year.
Rather not waste time.

is it because of your scar?
you could get surgery to cover it up

thinking ahead for uni is great though
but instead of asking people on what major they took if they did choose one
you should just choose whatever's convenient for you

No.
I just don't like it.
I think that's the memories' influence.

I don't really know what I like right now.
Trying to get ideas on how people chose.
Their reasoning is the most important part.

you did mention that you were a hero in your memories, right?
what did acting have anything to do with that?

Absolutely nothing.
Might be part of why I don't like it.

i mean you know that superhero movies are all the rage right now
i think you can blend in just fine

I do, but it's not really the same thing.
Actual superheroes help people.

but do you really need to be an actual superhero to help somebody?

[glaciers]

No. But police officers and doctors do that.
Acting doesn't directly help anyone.

[adoringpast]

don't just take what i said too seriously?
lord
acting may not directly help someone but it still entertains people
that's their job
and it helps, in a way

How seriously are you asking me to take you?
It does help but it's not as directly as I want.

then when will you take initiative?
the entertainment industry is rotten to the core but i know there are some diamonds in the rough surviving there
just bc they're not being actively altruistic it doesn't mean they're not much help to anybody

When did I say they didn't do anything to help?
It just doesn't feel like enough for me.
I want to get involved.
I want to help people.
Especially people who don't have anybody else they can turn to.

so what kind of job that pops into your head when you think about the things you've just mentioned?

Social work, child protective services and therapy.

considering who you are and what you've been through
i think you're good to go with those three
im no expert in those though so you may as well ask around for now

I'm asking.
I'll be looking at classes that feed into those in my first year of uni too.
