For those of you who have careers right now, or are working on them:
What lead you to it?
Do you like it or is it just a job to you?
After you got memories back would you rather be doing what you are in those memories?

I was fascinated by an ice skating performance I saw on television when I was young. I certainly feel like it's a passion, as no feeling can compare to being on the rink.

It must be nice to have something you feel so strongly about.

I do also feel strongly about teaching, even though I only discovered that belatedly.

[baw he likes being a PE teacher too.]

How did you end up teaching, anyway?

[mr_fancy_car]

My parents wanted me to at least earn a college degree before I begin my ice skating career. I chose physical education because I thought I would become a coach after retiring from the sport.

I hadn't realized I would want to teach much sooner than that, and not just aspiring skaters.

[glaciers]

It's good you found your calling.
You have to take gen eds during college though, right?
Did you chose those based on what sounded interesting?

That's right. I chose mine based on my other interests, like literature and science.

The science subjects were also a big help for my degree.

[glaciers]

I guess you took physics.
That sounds like it'd be useful for a figure skater.

[mr_fancy_car]

I did, yes. It was, unfortunately, not exactly my best subject.

Too many variables to keep track of?

[mr_fancy_car]

That's one reason, yes. Not to mention it's a bit more abstract than other sciences.

But you can see physics in action every day.

[mr_fancy_car]

Yes, but it seems to become more complicated and strange when you add numbers into the mix.

I managed to pass. Barely. The physics teacher at Recolle High occasionally reminds me of that.

When you toss a ball into the air it doesn't come with numbers on it.
I guess that's true.

Nonetheless, it's useful. But if you need help with it, I'm afraid I'm not quite the best person to ask.
