[Attached to the sudden message to the network late at night is a photo of Kei Shiragaki underneath a massive pile of boxes that had toppled over at a storage unit somewhere in the middle of town.
Felicia, panicked, did the first thing that came to mind:

I swear to god if this is that doll I'm going to scream. Maybe it really was cursed. Maybe we shouldn't have tried to take it from it's lair...
[Following this is more rambling, babbling text message that string together into something nonsensical. Someone, help this girl.]

[Felicia breathed in, letting allegations of her apparent clumsiness roll off of her as clean as rain-- because she wasn't as clumsy as her spaciness conveyed, not really-- and instead focused on Andrew's request.]
Mister Shiragaki was looking for a cursed doll earlier today, and his comments on Retrospec made me remember this creepy old Santa my Dad kept in storage for forever. I showed him a picture and he decided that it probably was cursed.
I just wanted it off of my hands, because it's not like Dad will even know it's gone anyway.
So... we came here and started looking. Then...
[She lifted a hand at the mess, wordlessly conveying the rest of the sordid tale.]

[ that really is unlucky... too bad sena doesn't believe any of that crap, rolling his eyes at felicia's soddy explanation. he does appreciate andrew's help more tbh, as they work together on shifting the boxes off of kei's poor back. ]

I just was feeling a little interested in something. I would call it a mild interest at best. But anyway, Felicia had a doll she wanted to get rid and also rather frightened of. It seemed like it would work out the best for all of us.

I would also like to not be considered almost dead. I would consider me one-quarter dead, if anything.

That's the other reason I reached out on Retrospec. We might need an exorcist if we can't find it.

In my past life. I have no idea how to do it now. [ A muffled chuckle. ] There's no reason to get so panicked. I'm certain that we're all well and cursed now anyway, so there's nothing to particularly worry about now that it's already happened, is that not so?

Wh-- Don't just whip them out like that?! I thought only Kei-san was the only one affected, but apparently the rest of you had hit their head pretty hard on something because I cannot believe you are all deluded enough to just accept this curse like it's no big deal.
[ tfw you're the only one in the group who has no special abilities... again. terrific. at least kei's slowly being unboxed as he whined. ]
But whatever. You guys have fun breaking the stupid curse, because I'm going as soon as Kei-san's free. I'm not going along with this any further.

I already said that it isn't like anything can be done. [ A beat. ] But I do also appreciate people are willing to accept a curse rather than I simply make an error in which box I grabbed.
[ There may be some muffled chuckling under the boxes. ] Hm? Though, I am going to ask that no knives be around Mizuki Sena. As his uncle, I'm a little wary of it.
[ And finally: ] Ah, I'm starting to see some light. That's a positive. I was starting to think I was simply supposed to get used to being in a makeshift tomb.

Felicia, would you please put those away? If there is a curse going on, chances are that you will hurt yourself before anything that needs hurting.

Clear out of here first, all of us. Figure out what actually happened with people better equipped for it. How's that sound?
[ Technically, Andrew doesn't have any extra abilities, either. Nothing more than his strength and training. And experience. Not yet, at least. But he's damn well going to use those. ]

[A sigh. She didn't have much in the way of extra abilities compared to others; just a little ice and the skills of a professional ninja maid, but that wasn't nearly enough to prepare her for a doll's curse.]
It's either that doll or my Dad being a bigger hoarder than I thought. It's a little easier to blame the doll, though.
[She wouldn't blame Kei for this. It wasn't his fault, after all. It was her father's.]

sena's tuned himself out of the supernatural talk once more because it's still so hard to believe that a fucking doll would toss out curses like this, so he'd still insist that maybe it's just a really wild earthquake like what andrew said. but whatever, he's getting back to work until kei's finally unboxed, to which he's kneeling down to help his uncle sit up. ]
