Shall I tell an odd story?
On my way home after closing the restaurant, I felt like someone was following me. Yet looking behind, there was no one save for the usual late night walkers. But no one following me specifically. Still, I couldn't quite ignore it. It took me awhile to get home because I decided to take a different route than usual.
Arriving home, as soon as I closed the door, there was a knock. Impossible. There was no one behind me coming up the hallway to my apartment. There wasn't anyone. But again, there was a knock. Curious, but I'm not so curious as to open the door. The knocking, however, grew angry and loud. I thought I would soon get calls from my neighbors or at least someone complaining.
But no one did.
The frantic, insistent knocking continued. I can't say I was afraid about it. Whatever was on the other side couldn't enter, so I let it enjoy itself beating on the door. Eventually, it did stop and I went to sleep, deciding it was one more odd thing this app had to bring.
Troubling, I suppose, when I woke up to find the door to my apartment was wide open with the sound of something breathing quietly just out of sight.
All the same, today is Easter Sunday and I won't be around for the early morning. I hope everyone takes care of themselves better than what I did, haha.

this sounds like another story. makes me wonder if you were ever a choir boy.
no subject
One that is true.
My family was Catholic and so that is how I was raised.
I wasn't a choir boy, however.
I could never sing with any sort of emotion.
no subject
i don’t know about you, but that sounds pretty Catholic to me. altar boy?
no subject
So it does.
And yes.
It was mostly some mundane tasks I did during Mass, funerals and weddings. I usually was paid some small allowance for my services during the weddings and funerals, but that never sat well with me.

you're a kind soul. i would have taken that money without thinking about it.
no subject
Haha, of course you would.
And I would have applauded your greed.
no subject
hey. i'm a poor college student.

It wasn't meant to sound disparaging.
I honestly think it's good to be greedy.
no subject
isn't it one of the deadly sins, though?
no subject
It is.
But it's also very human to be greedy.
So, I give it a very soft pass.

okay, all three.

However, everyone sins.
But since those three do not get a pass as the others do, I have to take an obligatory moment to be disappointed.
no subject
is that also a sin?

and that's okay.

But I am not a priest nor respectable enough person to do much scolding.
no subject
who knows? maybe you were in your other life. even better, a professional exorcist.
no subject
Well. In my other life, I was a priest but I am not now so I consider it a wash of full responsibility.

people sometimes gain back powers or items from their other ilves. it makes me wonder if you can somehow gain back the power to deliver the holy sacraments.
