In that case, I guess just check the tags really carefully before you put anything in. The dry cleaning will probably have to wait until some of the other people are back... Hand-washing is its own thing to learn, so if I were you I'd probably jsut stick to things that can go in the machine for now.

I have a friend who will come teach me how to wash things by hand. He did say it's different.
